Gaze Upon This, Mortals!

So, guess what? You know the upcoming Avatar spin-off, Legend of Korra? Well, they released the first two episodes of the series early online! WOOT!

Here's a link to the site!

IT. IS. AWESOME. Seriously, I can't wait for the next episodes. I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil it. Just.. just... just click the link and have yo' mind blown, darlin'!

  Seriously, click it.

UPDATE: Apparently, the episodes were only up for the weekend. Sorry. :( But, hey, it really isn't THAT long until April 14th, so...

Hey, good thing I didn't post spoilers, right?

FROM THE LEGEND OF KORRA: THE CUTEST. THING. EVER!

So, The new Avatar series, Legend of Korra, comes out April 14th (WHOO!) And I found a clip. It'd from when the current Avatar, Korra is little, and the White Lotuses are going to see if she's really the Avatar. And it has the awesomest/most adorable thing EVER!

Oh, I'm going to like Korra...

UPDATE: Darn it, the poster of the video removed it... >:( Oh well, April 14th isn't that far away... :(

Ramblin' 'Bout That There Young Justice

Oh, you thought my talk of Young Justice was over. YOU WERE WRONG!!! MUAH HAHAHAHAHA!!!! *cough* *wheeze* ....*deep breath* HaHAHaHahaaaa.....

  Sorry, I'm hyper today.

Anyway, I finally caught up with the series, and I can't wait for it to come back March 3rd so I can watch it on YouTube. I prefer YouTube right now (NETFLIX, WHY DON'T YOU HAVE THE SHOW ON INSTANT VIEW!?) because it doesn't have ads in-between like Cartoon Network does. I'd rather have to watch flipped footage than see it through a player that has ads every segment, and has a history of messing up when I try and "rewind" something.

Huh, it appears I've gone on a tangent. Allow me to return to the *MILD SPOILER-TASTIC* topic.

So, it turns out Red Tornado's NOT the traitor. So that means someone on The Team is back to possibly being The Mole. My gut says it's Artemis, since she's got the most evidence pointing that way. I REALLY don't want it to be her though. I like Artemis. I'm hoping if it's her, she's a reformed/reverse mole. Still holding on to that "Superboy is an Unintentional Mole" thing. Especially since they brought up a theory like that in the show. Seriously, I kind of squealed inside when I found out I was on the same page as THE FREAKIN' BATMAN! Here's the discussion:

And I'm also nervous about the fact they've said someone's gonna die. PLEASE DON'T LET IT BE ROBIN! I loves him. I loves him so. And I hope it's not Artemis. Because Angry-Grieving Kid Flash is kind of scary....

Oh, there's the fact that they said there will be new characters joining The Team. One in the middle of the season, and one at the end of the season. I'm hoping for Kyle Rayner.

Kyle Rayner is a Green Lantern, one of the four Earth Lanterns. He's an artist in the comics, so I automatically like him. He's notable for making a wide variety of constructs with his ring.

Plus he had the coolest Lantern costume EVAH!

Besides, he doesn't appear that much in the DC cartoons. If there's a Lantern, it's either Hal (The Original Earth one), John Stewart (The Black One), or Guy Gardener (The One with the Bowlcut and Attitude) for the most part. We've seen the other guys in Justice League scenes. Kyle needs more love. He could be a cool addition to The Team. I heard season 2 will be called Young Justice: Invasion. Invasion=Space Invaders. The Green Lantern Corps is in space. Let's face it, the group needs a Lantern.

Well, I think I'm about done here, so...OHWAITAMINUTE!!
There was the Robin and Zatanna flirting!

...

That's all I have to say 'bout that.

 That's all folks!

My Favorite Wolverine And The X-Men Episodes

So I've been feeling nostalgic and I watched an episode of Wolverine and the X-Men. I LOVED this show. I really wish it had continued to Season 2. They would've had DEADPOOL in Season 2! *sigh* So I decided to write a list of my favorite episodes in no particular order. Here we go!

-Thieves' Gambit I really liked Gambit in this episode. And I loved his and Wolverine's interactions. Plus, I'm going through a minor Gambit phase right now. I especially loved this line:
Wolverine: You sold out your own kind for some money?
Gambit: No, I sold my kind out for a whole lot of money, there's a distinction...
-X-Calibre Oh, Nightcrawler. How do I love thee? Anyway, this showcased how awesome he is. So how could I NOT put this up?

-Greetings Form Genosha Another Nightcrawler episode. Plus, it's got Scarlet Witch in it! Highlights include the Nightcrawler/Scarlet Witch pairing (which I love), Magneto removing his helmet in an awesome manner, and the AWESOME SCENE where Nightcrawler teleports across the ENTIRE FREAKIN' OCEAN to the X-Mansion. *sigh* Why did they kill you off in the comics, Mr. Wagner? Why?

-Battle Lines Simple: Rogue was awesome this episode. That is all.

-Hunting Grounds YAY! MORE NIGHTCRAWLER AWESOMENESS! YAY! MORE SCARLET WITCH AWESOMENESS! I love how this show also displays Nightcrawler's epicness. And oh yeah, SCARLET WITCH KISSES NIGHTCRAWLER! Granted it's on the cheek, BUT STILL! Have I mentioned I like that relationship and wish it was in the regular continuity?

-Code of Conduct Four words: "I just learned Bushido." I adore Rogue. Because Rogue + Highly Trained Samurai = awesomest Rogue moment ever.

Well, those were the episodes that I loved the most. Yes, 50% of them involved Nightcrawler. What can I say, he's just epic. Just watch this Marvel: Ultimate Alliance clip.

 ...You're welcome for the awesomeness.

*UPDATE* Oh, yeah. Almost forgot...

-Time Bomb This was an awesome episode. There was the "Toad in MRD Prison" scene, Wolverine wanting everyone to "quit helpin' me!", and there was the cool scene where Iceman makes a giant ice island. And I have to admit, I thought Emma Frost vs. Psylocke was sweet, too. Emma effortlessly kicked Psylocke's butt in their psychic battle, and it was cool. And this is coming from someone who really dislikes Emma and thinks Psylocke's cool (in the comics,Psylocke's a British Psychic Ninja with Psi-Swords!), so that's saying something.  Too bad we won't have a rematch, since the show got cancelled (PLEASE BRING IT BACK, DISNEY!).

...

Oh, and whole, "Emma Frost got killed off" thing.

--------------------------------------------------------

Okay, NOW I've listed 'em all.

The 1st Annual Loveable Freak Flag Awards: Nominees *VOTING CLOSED*

So, I saw the results of The Golden Globes (I couldn't watch them, NBC kept screwing up >:(...), and was displeased by the results. Mostly because 1) Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was not nominated (but maybe it wasn't out in time), 2) Superhero movies are NEVER nominated, 3) I rarely know what half the movies up are (It's usually the first I hear of most of the flicks), and 4) Two of the Animated Movie nominees I saw that I felt should have won (Rango and Puss in Boots) did not.

And the Oscars are more or less the same.

That's why I've decided to have my OWN awards! Featuring outstanding and entertaining moments and people/characters in movies, TV shows (read, mostly cartoons), and for the heck of it, video games.

So, without further ado, the nominees for the 1st Annual Loveable Freak Flag Awards!

*Awards may not have all categories due to the creator of the awards not having any ideas for some "typical" award, :(, and some categories have more nominees than others .*

AWESOME PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR
  • Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides)

Overused Plot Parody #6: He Got Irked!

So, I finally got an idea for these again! After the epic fail that was "Back to Tak" , I came up with a next instalment of the series after a hiatus.

Ladies and Gents, I give you....

                                He Got Irked!

Zim and Dib were in the heat of battle in Zim's lab. Zim had captured people as test subjects, and you know Dib wouldn't let that go on.

Zim shoved Dib into a weird generator, labeled "The Plot Device", that just so happened to be in the corner. When Dib hit the generator, something flickered on his face. It was an Irken face. Zim freaked out. "The Dib? Half-Irken?" Dib tilted his head. "Really? That's your first conclusion?" Zim ignored Dib. "COMPUTER! SCAN THE INSIGNIFICANT IRKEN IMPOSTOR!" "Yes, Alliterative Master!" The computer replied, scanning Dib.

"Sir! Dib is inexplicably an Irken." Zim and Dib freaked out. "My kind, soiled!" Zim screeched. "My life! Ruined!" Dib shouted. There was insane giggling. The two horrified enemies looked left to a container holding a girl.

"Yay! You two can work together to destroy mankind!" Dib raised an eyebrow. "Why would I do that?" The girl smiled. "'Cause your gunna looooooovve each other!" Dib and Zim were disgusted. "Or maybe you're brothers!" They were both  doubly disgusted, and Zim was about to rant about how the mighty Zim had no siblings, and he was too amazing to have relatives, anyway. Then the girl made a blasphemous claim so horrible, the author could not bear to write it.

Zim lost it. "COMPUTER! KILL THIS HORRIBLE HUMAN FULL OF LIIIIIIEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!" Zim looked around. "Where is the disgraceful Dib-Irken?" The Computer answered, "He left, saying something about wanting to end it all rather than be the same creature as his worst enemy..." Zim scowled. "Eh, I can't let him do that! Only I am allowed to end the Dib! Selfish abomination..."

Zim began to storm out of his lab. "Eeeeeeee! He's gonna save Dib! He DOES love him..." The girl squealed. "COMPUTER!!!" Zim called. The Computer analyzed the human. How was he going to end her? Lasers? No, they'd been overused lately. Neurotoxin? No, that seemed like another AI's shtick.

Suffocate the human in a liquid-solid? "That's original...." He mused. Yep, The Computer was going to go with that....

THE END

 Well, there you have it!

And relax, no eleven-year-old boys committed suicide in the creation of this FanFic/Parody...

Infamous Movie Reviews: The Last Airbender

Hello again, I decided to have a better post. Another INFAMOUS MOVIE REVIEW!

*WARNING: POTENTIAL RANTING*

Tonight, I discuss the movie, The Last Airbender. In the beginning, when I heard about it, I was hopeful when they said M. Night Shyamalan was a fan of the series. I mean, he said he was, so what could go wrong? Really?

Turns out, a lot. As one TV Tropes Troper put it:
"Supposedly M. Night Shyamalan approached the people behind Avatar to create a live action movie because he was such a huge fan of the show. Based on the outcome, however, you could be forgiven for thinking he had a seething hatred for it."
Now before I begin, I'm not gonna address that "controversy". The movie probably would've stunk even if it had the "proper races".

Okay, let's move on, and ignore my "possible controversy in the making up there", m'kay? We'll do this in a reverse order from my X-Men Origins review.

THE BAD:

-Changing how Firebending works. I mean, Firebending NEEDING A FIRE SOURCE? WHAT IS THAT MADNESS!? THAT'S. NOT. HOW. IT. WORKS.

- The whole "The Avatar can't have a family" thing. I mean, COME ON! THAT'S NOT PART OF THE AVATAR THING! In fact, if it weren't for AVATAR Roku HAVING A FAMILY, Zuko WOULD NEVER HAD EXISTED! *MIND BOMB*!

- That they seemed to try and cram too much in one movie.

- They dropped out a lot.

- All the mispronunciations of the names. I mean, COME ON!

- NO KOIZILLA! THAT WAS AWESOME! THAT JUST WOULD'VE BEEN THE AWESOMEST SFX EVAH! THAT WOULD HAVE MADE IT ALL WORTH IT TO SEE LIVE-ACTION AND CGI KOIZILLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-The "Pebble Dance" is... really lame.

THE NEUTRAL:

-Changing the time Sozin's Comet comes. Incorrect? Yes. Necessary for a potential sequel (OH LORD NO) to have believable ages? *groan* Yes.....

THE GOOD:

- At least Iroh's awesomeness is enhanced by the "Firebenders Need Fire" Thing. He can bend without a fire source, and it is glorious.

-Well, Shyamalan DID fit in an impressive amount of stuff. Though, again, it dropped out/crammed a bit.

-That's it...

So yeah, it stunk. If Shama-Llama-Ding-Dong tries to make a sequel, all I can say is Toph had BETTER be awesome. Who knows? Maybe "The Pebble Dance" will make Toph even cooler in comparison.

Then again, I was optimistic about this movie.....

I also entertain the idea that if Jesse McCartney had gotten to be in this, he would have somehow magically improved the movie. Like, he would have been all: "M-Dawg! This movie be trippin'! Fix it!" And M. Night would've have agreed, 'cause Jesse has a Keyblade. And connections. And is gangsta.

Overall, this is not good. So I must subject my best friend to watching it so she can feel my pain. >;P.

WHAT IS THIS!?

So, I'm on Wikipedia, looking up all the Nicktoons and stuff, and I see there's a link to the page about the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series (since Nick has the rights now). I was curious, of course, and clicked it. It led to the whole TMNT page, and not only did I learn of the infamous "female Turtle" Venus, but I saw this on the new show:

WHAT!?

THEY'RE CHANGING DON AND MIKEY'S WEAPONS!? THAT'S MADNESS!!! WAIT, MADNESS? THIS. IS. BLASPHEMY!!!!!!! I feel as though someone threw up on my childhood.

See, back when I was little, Lil' Freak LOVED the Turtles. Donatello and Michealanglo where my favorites, 'cause Don was the smart one and Mikey was the funny one. And now this show is CHANGING THEIR WEAPONS!? That Wikipedia acknowledged that they TRADITIONALLY used? Grr...

Look, I love pointy objects that hurt people as much as the next girl, but c'mon! Nunchucks and bo staffs are just as cool. It's not all about stabbing people, ya know! This.... this just upsets me.

But, they did say it was only in the teaser, and teasers can lie. Maybe they're only using them in the teaser. They'll still have their ninchucks and bo staff in the series...

Unless when it comes out, they DO use them. Then they better have a GOOD explaination for their weapon change or I will go into a fan rage.

Here is the offending teaser trailer:

LOL! Old X-Men.....

So, on Netflix, Ima watchin' ye olde schoole X-Men series from the 90's. It's kinda funny to watch from a modern-day view. I saw this show as a kid and I... didn't really remember much about it honestly, only "snippets" in my head. But I do remember Lil' Freak thought Jubilee was AWESOME! Now, I think the show's unintentionally funny.

 Like, for example, OVERLY-DRAMATIC STORM!!!!!!

And then there's Wolverine's voice. OH LORD ALMIGHTY WOLVIE'S VOICE!

Eh... Not a good video example, but, anyway..... Steve Blum will always be my favorite Wolverine, because his isn't as ridiculous (Evolution's Wolvie Voice did not compare when I head it). But at least it's not AUSTRAILIAN WOLVIE FROM THE 80'S!!!!

Rogue... oh Rogue. I luv ya in a non-creepy way, dahlin', but that accent is not an accent/almost offencive, sugah.

Also, I found Morph in the one episode I saw him as kinda annoying. It's the laugh. THE LAUGH! OH LORD, THE LAUGH! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOOOOOPPPP!!!!! MAKE THE BAD MUTIE STOP! AND STAY DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure the show gets better, but it's the voices and the narminess that makes it silly to me. Not "60's Superfriends" silly, but still hard to take serious.

But there is one bright side. DEADPOOL CAMEOS!

Yup, totally makes it all worth it.

And now, I leave on a question: Okay, so I thought Magneto's helmet made him invulnerable to telepathy. So WHY is it that in this series, he can use telepathy on helmeted-Magneto? Why, oh why, why why, why?

UPDATE: I appoligize to any Morph fans that I used the video that calls him "The crappiest X-Men" in the title. It... was the best example I could find with.... THE LAUGH..........

I Pitch Ideas For: Young Justice Episodes

Is anyone sick of my Young Justice "fan girling"? Well, I'm sure I'll mellow down... Eventually..... You know, when I move onto something new in my "Fan Cycle" (When I have a resurgence of super-fanning of something, and dominently obsess over that). So, I'm desided to post some ideas I have for YJ episodes, that aren't in the works.

  • Something With Robin Singing I just had to get it out the way. I'll settle for something like Robin/Dick listening to an MP3 player and maybe singing along. *sings* Or just maybe, we could see, the return of the Batman The Brave and The Bold-specific character known as.....
               THE MUSIC MEISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, I could not find a good video for what I wanted. Look up "Mayhem of the Music Meister" on YouTube.

The next one I have two ideas for:
  • Some Sort of Future Related Episode
  1. The whole "One person goes forward in time" thing. That would be okay. I read something saying that wouldn't be a good idea because Teen Titans did that, and it'd be to like that episode, bladdie-blah.... But c'mon. A lot of shows do that. *cough*thewhole"Xaiverwakesup20yearsinthefuturefromacoma"plotfromWolverineandtheX-Men*cough* But there's also....
    2. A Future Team Visits the Present Day. That would be intresting. There could be the successors of The Team visiting (one of the other Robins, the other Speedy, etc.). And there could be hints to the present!Team, like Robin being Nightwing and/or Batman IN THE FUTURE! KF being The Flash IN THE FUTURE! Etc., etc.

That's all I got FOR NOW! I'm a gonna do Loveable Freak-type stuff, then tommorrow, I WILL watch me some Young Justice episodes from tonight and last week since I haven't seen it yet.

PEACE OUT HOMIES!

RANDOM GUESSES!

One of the funny things on this one site, TV Tropes, is the Wild Mass Guessing. Sometimes, the guesses are serious ("_____ Will Die The Next Episode", for example), while others are ridiculous and joking ( for example, "_______ is Cyclops's Son"). So, I decided to do my own, mostly goofy, ones.

The guess is in bold, the explanation in normal, just so yous know.

 HEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***

Perry The Platypus is a Milliner.

In The Looking Glass Wars, Hatter Madigan (AKA The Mad Hatter) is a Milliner, who are like soldiers with cool hats that do all sorts of stuff (Madigan's top hat becomes blades, for example). Perry's hat does some fly stuff. Thus, part of the OWCA's training must be Milliner training.

YJ Robin and Dr. Doofenshmertz are related somehow.

Both tend to play around with prefixes (Dr. D:"Your timing is impeccable, and by impeccable I mean COMPLETELY PECCABLE!"; Robin: "Would "aster" be the opposite of disaster?"). Coincidence? I THINK NOT! (*Told you these can be ridiculous*)

Luxord was a pirate.

Now, this one I'm kinda serious about. In Kingdom Hearts II, "Luxy" knows about "parlay", and I don't think that's common knowledge. Plus, if you look at the Pieces of Eight in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, one is a card (Luxord's signature weapon). Obviously, Luxord was one of the original Pirate Lords, and time just... passes differently.

Cheren is based on Dib.

When I first played Pokemon Black, I noticed a weird similarity Cheren had:

Cheren.

Dib.

See? Their hair has the same sorta look. And they wear glasses and blue stuff. And they're both pretty smart. I'd post an anime version of Dib, but I don't want some fan*insertgenderhere* to get mad that I stole their drawing, then chase me down the street with replicas of the Buster Sword and the Gunblade..... again. Obviously, someone over at Game Freak is a Zim Fan.

***

Well, that's it. That's all I got.... FOR NOW.... *evil laugh*

REVIEW: Young Justice-Home Front

So I just watched the episode of Young Justice today, and I figured, "what the heck? The Freak's gonna review it!"

PLAY BY PLAY:

*Reader Beware, you're in for some SPOILERS!*

Alright, so at the start, we're treated to Artemis waking up and having a flashback about her sister, who's *gasp* Cheshire! Apparently she ran away from home when Arte was little. Anyway, Artemis starts school at Gotham Academy, and has this funny interaction with Robin/Dick Grayson (but of course, she has no idea who it is):

(Dick runs up to Artemis)
Dick: We'll laugh about this someday.
(takes a surprise picture with Artemis on his cell phone, disappears, NINJA STYLE)

And to top off this little brief school moment, we have an interaction between Dick and Batgirl/Barbra Gordon, who's makin' a cameo.

Next we see Megan/Miss Martian and Superboy, enjoying their little relationship upgrade, until Superboy's little pet robot ball comes along and warns them Kid Flash/Wally's coming by. Wally comes up, mentioning they "sure spend a lot of time working on his bike" and that they obviously need his help. I'm still back and forth on whether this is Wally being semi-aware what's going on and trying to get in their way, or him being oblivious. ANYHOW, and Kaldur/Aqualad discusses the whole "team mole" thing with Red Tornado, when Tornado has to leave for SUSPICIOUS! reasons. But I think he delivered his best line ever this episode:

"I agreed to cover for Green Arrow, he has an interpersonal event with Black Canary. A "hot date"."
After that, we get back to Artemis. She heads for The Cave, and bumps into Robin in Gotham. They have a pretty funny interaction, and then go to The Cave. Then, *gasp* The Cave's under attack by two Red Tornado-eske robots (SUSPICIOUS!), one with fire power, the other with water, who have captured the other members of The Team and have KF and Superboy in a watery death-trap and Miss Martian (who's out cold) and Aqualad in a fire cage. The "Reds" threaten that they'll kill the others if Artemis and Robin don't surrender in ten minutes.

Arte's panicking, because if all the guys with superpowers are down, how are she and Robin, the normal ones, going to stop them? Robin, however, is calm in the face of danger. They find the others, but have to get away from the Reds. Robin tells the distraught Artemis she has to "get traught or get dead", and our heroes come up with a plan to send out a electro-magnetic pulse to shut down the Reds, with some technical help from KF. But just as they're about to set up the EMP, The Reds capture Robin, and have him drowning in a water tube (NOOOOOO! ROBIN!!!!! I LOVE-ES YOU ROBIN! I LOVE-ES YOOOOOOUUU!). And Artemis, having used her last arrow, runs for it.

Arte ends up in Wally's room, and finds Wally's collection of "souvenirs", including Cheshire's mask. She has another flashback, and then starts to tell the mask she's found a "new family" with The Team (awww). She sees her arrow from "Schooled" (AKA a Chekhov's Gun, as they say on TV Tropes and the literary world), and goes to stop the robots. Long story short, she makes an awesome shot that sets off the EMP (all it needed was metal), and stops the robots, saving everyone. Once everyone's confirmed to be okay, Red Tornado "happens" to come back, everyone's not happy he ditched them. Suddenly, The Team realizes everything electronic that was in The Cave's starting up again, and Red Tornado starts sucking all the air out of the cave, to incapacitate everyone. SUSPICIOUS!

When everyone comes to, the Justice League's there to check on them, and it's mentioned that the Reds (including Tornado), have all disappeared. SUSPICIOUS!

MY THOUGHTS:
*NOT SO MANY SPOILERS FROM HERE ON, BUT STILL SOME*

I liked this episode. I loved Artemis and Robin's interactions in the beginning. I also liked Robin being serious, and his "get it together" moment with Artemis. It does make sense, since he's been doing this longer/he's Batman's sidekick. I also liked seeing Artemis's vulnerable side, it was nice to see. She definitely scored some "like" points in my book this episode. And the distraction Kid Flash and Superboy(!) make was awesome.

I'm not to crazy about the pacing of Superboy and Miss Martian's relationship. I think it's kinda fast. Yes, he did kiss her last episode, but I think the writers could have held off a little longer to make it official, Y'know? Unless something bad's going to happen to one of them....

Also, was I the only one who thought it would've been hilarious if while the water raised, there had been an interaction between Kid Flash and Superboy that went like this?:

Superboy: Me and M'Gann haven't been working on my bike, we've been kissing...
 Kid Flash: WHAT!?
Anyway, I hadn't considered Red Tornado could be the mole. My theory was the obvious Artemis or Superboy, but he's not aware of it, because The Light have some way of seeing/hearing what Superboy's doing (mayhaps via G-Gnome). And maybe MM (beware the nice ones, you know?). But I can see Tornado being the mole, in hindsight.

OVERALL:

 I give it a 5 out of 5.

Tell me what you think, and hey, maybe I'll do another review of next week's episode or something. Wow, this might be my longest post ever. Peace out!

New Young Justice Episode: Robin Makes His Triumphant Return!

I like some DC stuff, I will admit (but Marvel's still my favorite company). One thing I like from DC is their Young Justice cartoon. The hiatus has been over (huzzah!) for more than two weeks and tonight's a new episode I can't wait to look up on YouTube tomorrow 'cause I don't get that TV no more (I read a lot, though!): "Home Front".

Here's what Wikipedia says under the episodes description:

When Mount Justice itself is attacked, can Artemis and Robin (the two teens without super-powers) save the Team (or even themselves) from the unknown invaders?

I am ecstatic, because I LOVE Robin in this. I've missed his wonderful Roxas Ventus Jesse McCartney voice. And his playing with the English language (why ISN'T anyone ever whelmed?). I wonder if they'll have a handwave for his being MIA last two episodes. Though I'll always prefer my idea (He was fighting off aliens, taking down the mob, and saving a British dude). And it seems like he'll get some more focus this episode. YAY!!!!!

Oh yeah, and Artemis, too. YAY, SNARKY ARCHERS NAMED AFTER THE GREEK GODDESS OF THE MOON AND THE HUNT!

This sounds awesome. The only thing that could make it better? If Robin wears a suit. Or fights with sai swords. Or wears a suit as he fights with sai swords. Just sayin'.

Oh, or does all that, then does a number like THIS classic Justice League Unlimited moment.

...... 'Kay, I'll stop now.

So, yay, Robin's back. I look forward to seeing this tomorrow on YouTube.

Weekend Artwork #6: Guess Who's In-Charge?

Well, this was an eventful week. The Freak finally saw Phineas and Ferb: Across The 2nd Dimension (LOVED IT!!!), The Freak started referring to herself in 3rd Person occasionally, and a space satellite is going/has crashed to Earth! Wow!

The Freak...I mean... I started thinking about the first episode of Phineas and Ferb, "Rollercoaster". Remember that line Candace says?

It's haaaaard to write out Candace's giggle...
Yep, Candace is now/will be in charge. Kinda hilarious in hindsight, ya know? It was kind of a funny thought that came into mah head. I thought Candace came out pretty good, considering it was my first time drawing her. Though it helped to have a reference.

Hope you enjoyed this weekend's Weekend Artwork. The Freak is out, PEACE!

Loveable Freak Talks About The News: Spongebob Bad For Little Childwen

*WARNING: MAY BE SOME MILD RANTING*

So yesterday in the news they were talking about this study saying Spongebob was bad for small children (small being like under six). However could this be?

Well, appartently, for children under six, it's not good for them to watch shows with such "fast pacing". It messes with their learning ability or something. It's better for them to watch shows with a slllllloooooooowwwwweeeerrrr pace. Basically, LITTLE KID SHOWS! And what did Nickelodeon have to say about this?

They said, basically, "Well, four-year-olds aren't supposed to watch it. It's demographic is 6-11 year olds."

Wow. That goes against the "all about the money, folks" belief I have about these companies. I mean, with all their "BUY OUR SPONGEBOB MERCHANDICE!" stuff. Anywho, aren't periferary demographics a good thing? Just sayin'.

But you know, if parents didn't just camp their kids in front of anything with flashing, hypnotising, pretty colors, there wouldn't be this problem. Besides, if a certain episode of Pokemon is any indicator, putting kids in front of flashing colors is not always a good idea......

Spongebob seems to get a LOT of issues about stuff, at least as one article I read pointed out. There was this whole "gay" thing from long ago (I think it's a long story that I don't know much info on, just that there was an issue). And appartently, there are some issues with  some "promoting global warming education" thing I just now heard about.

My inner ZIManiac (my pitiful attempt of giving the fandom a cheesy, mildly stupid little nickname, like "Trekkies" have) feels the need to say something. Please, Spongebob fans, take no offense, I've been mature about the whole "ZIM Fans Hate SpongeBob" thing the majority of fans seem to have. I used to love SpongeBob, but the newer stuff.... eh. I TRY NOT TO BE THE MONGOOSE TO YOUR SNAKE!

 Anyway....

I would like to point out ZIM never got too many controversies. Just the whole "It's dark" thing and apparently ONE murder trial thing relating to "Dark Harvest", but that was an isolated incident! The guy sounded like a psychopath. Just saying.

So that's all I have to say about it! I leave you with this beautiful image:

Story Time: Not Another New Girl! (Overused Plot Parody #1)

So over on this other blog, The Half-World, theskepkitty (who runs the blog) wrote a list of overused  fanfic plots for INVADER ZIM. So I'm gonna mercilessly parody them! I already did an unfinished episode (but it wasn't a parody), so I'm gonna start with this one: A Rip-off of "Tak: The Hideous New Girl!"

COMMENCE READING!

NOT ANOTHER NEW GIRL!

 This was getting ridiculous.

The new girl stood in front of the class beside Ms. Bitters. She was dressed in a polo and skirt from some strange store no one ever heard of: American Eagle. Her hair was blonde in a perky ponytail, and had glowy blue eyes. Ms. Bitters said, "Class,  I would like to introduce the newest, hopeless appendage to the student body. Her name is... Zo. Zo, if you have something to say, say it now, because after this moment, I don't wanna hear another sound from you!"

"Deja vu," Dib thought. "Not this again!" ZIM thought.

"Hiya! I'm Zo!" She looked over at Dib. "YOU CUTE! I LOVE YOU!" She leaped at Dib, only to be intercepted by yesterday's new girl, Vix. "Hands off my man!" Vix screeched. ZIM rolled his eyes. Another girl clinging to Dib. There had been an odd influx of new girls (and this two new boys, but one they ignored and the other.... made everyone feel awkward). They all generally seemed to be "in love" with either him or his nemesis. ZIM decided to take advantage of this by trying to make his admirers his "Army of DOOOOMMMM!!!!", but they were testing ZIM's nerves with every hour.

Meanwhile, Zo and Vix finished their fight. Ms. Bitters, who seemed to ignore this, spoke up again. "You need a place to sit..." She pointed at Poonchy. "You! You're being transferred to the Underground Classroom!" ("Another one? That "classroom" must be full.." Dib thought.) Poonchy and his desk fell through the floor to a fiery inferno, and a new desk for Zo appeared.
"POONCHY!" ZIM, Dib, and the few remaining "original" classmates (The Letter M, Keef, Chunk, Melvin, and Zootch) cried. "Whose gonna say stuff in a funny voice now?" Chunk said, melancholy. As everyone mourned their fallen classmate, Zo took her seat and looked lovingly at Dib. "Aww, he's so cute when he's sad.." she thought. Vix shot her a look, saying, "You wanna go another round?" Zo smirked, and threw herself and Vix out the window perfectly. During the tussle, Zo's mask fell off, revealing she was (gasp) an Irken!

Dib groaned, and stepped in front of the class. "okay, who ISN'T an alien in this class?" Only a few new kids raised their hands, Dib and most of the original class (including ZIM, who Dib glared at and said, "We'll talk about this later, space boy!"). Everyone looked at Zootch weird, as he hadn't raised his hand. Nervously, he raised his hand, and everyone went about their business.

ZIM stood up, "You're ALL after my mission, Irkens I never met! No one steals ZIM's mission, FAKES!"

 There were  various random outbursts:

"But I'm a Vortian, pay attention like Dib!"

"Aw, c'mon ZIM, bro, I'm not after your mission!"

 "That's an unfair generalization, y'all!"

 "I'm only half-Irken!"

 "You're cute, ZIM!"

"Hello! I'm a human, darling!"

 "Unentgeltlichen deutschen!"

Vix walked up to the window, taking a break from killing Zo, "I'm not after your mission, roomie! Besides, I'm a genetically-altered EvIrken. DISTINCTION!" Zo stood up. "There's a mission you're on, ZIM? Since when?" Vix tackled Zo in response.

ZIM had had it. He turned to the girl behind him (the Vortian named Kal-Lee, who transferred here last week), and stuck a needle in her hand, taking a DNA sample. "Owie! This is why I like Dib, you Irken creep! I hope the Resisty wipes your kind out!" Kal-Lee whined. He then proceeded to take samples from everyone.

When ZIM went home, he went to work on his newest, most sinester device.

The next day, a girl with a short, multi-colored bob dressed  like a motorcyclist stood before the class. "Hi, my name's Jaz. I'm new here."

In an uncanny resemblance to last Valentine's Day, everyone monotoned, "Hello, Ta...we mean Jaz." Suddenly, Melvin was "transferred" to the underground classroom. As Jaz walked to her seat, she stopped at ZIM's desk, and hugged his head to her chest. "ZIMMY! I want you to know, when the Tallest inevitably tell you your mission is a lie, you can always come to me, sweetheart!" She started stroking his cheek.

ZIM growled, shoving her away. "LIAR!" He shouted. He then pulled out a giant chemical bomb and turned it on. "DIE! DIE! DIE!" He screeched like a maniac. He then started laughing psychotically.

The bomb went off, spewing chemicals on every student. Then, everyone (the new kids and the old kids) started to melt in their own unique, special way. Dib turned to ZIM. "I never thought I'd say this, but thank you, ZIM!" ZIM smiled triumphantly. "But, why did you set it to kill the oth.." He then remembered this was ZIM, after all. "Never mind."

Then Dib started feeling hot and sweaty. Then a good chunk of his head started to ooze off. He looked at ZIM, whose face was melting as well. "You put DNA samples of us in there, too." ZIM had a look of realization. "GIR!" He shouted. "You weren't supposed to put my DNA in there! Now the acid is melting my genetic signature, too!"

 "You jerk." Dib said furiously.

 THE END.

Well, there it is! I'm planning on doing more "Overused Plot Parodies" in the future. Bye!

ZIM-RELATED AWESOMENESS!

Okay, so there's a page on Facebook called InvaderCON. It's the offical page for the convention they had devoted to all things INVADER ZIM. Anyway, they have this little contest going on. When they get a certain amount of likes on Facebook, someone can win an autograph from one of the voice actors from the show. Liking the page make you eligable. At certain levels, another autograph is given away.

The list and more (probably the same) info is here.

Here's the page, for those with Facebooks who are intrested and want to go for it. Click it! So that I......I mean, you can have a chance to score some sswwwweeeettttttttt autographs.

Seriously, it's an awesome shot to get autographs from the cast of one of the best shows EVER! If you wanna go for it, GO FOR IT!

The Greatest Cartoon Episodes Never Completed/Made

Ah, television. It's a fickle world. Someone's show could have the plug pulled at any moment. This can lead to some episodes never seeing the light of day on TV. Or even being completed. Luckily, sometimes reminants of these episodes still live on. And, thanks to the glory of the digital age, can be found on our good friend the Internet. So, here's a total of five episodes of two cartoons that have actual scripts and/or audio that would've been awesome to see, had they gotten to be completed.

*Honorable mention goes to the unscripted INVADER ZIM episode ideas "Pants (When Pants Ruled)", for having pant-like aliens and the possibility of ZIM and Dib having a dance-off (that would've been epic), and "It Feeds On Noodles" (something that I wrote my little own script for, guessing what might've happened), for having ZIM become a Chinese Food-eating vampire. (Yes, I do think Vampire ZIM could take Edward Cullen down, just sayin'....)*

  Okay, here we go!

  •   The Return of Keef (INVADER ZIM)
Here's the story, Keef (ZIM's "best friend" from.... "Bestest Friend") returns, crazier and as obsessed with ZIM as ever. And he's also latched onto Dib as well, this time. When Keef learns *gasp* ZIM and Dib aren't friends, he sets out to MAKE them friends, much to their chagrin. This episode just sound so funny, and it has a scene where they try and convince Keef they've become friends (so he'll get happy and explode, long story) though some pathetic-sounding attempts.... and hugging! I would've enjoyed seeing them hug ('cause it's so hilliarious, since they must be hating every second of it) and what they have to say later is pretty funny). Paraphrased:
Dib: You admitted you're an alien!
ZIM: It was part of the act...
 Dib: I videotaped it!
ZIM: GAH! Is that hug on there as well?
(Dib freaks out and smashes the camera)
Here's the audio with the script kindly added.

  • Mopiness of Doom (Again, INVADER ZIM)
The idea is that Dib gives up on his paranormal studies and dedicates himself to "REAL SCIENCE!" like his Dad. ZIM, at first, is happy, then becomes depressed with no one to challenge him, and goes into a sort of depression (and steals "GIR's couch"). Then GIR goes to get Dib to "fight his master again". I love how they have an odd dependency on each other in this episode. Oh, if only they didn't hate each other, they might've been friends. *snickers*

Here's a reading that was done at InvaderCON. (With some now infamous puppets! Why, puppets, WHY!? *shudders at the horrors they've encouraged*)

  • Day of Da Spookies (Yup, it's INVADER ZIM)
The idea is that one of the other Irken (ZIM's species) Invaders, SKOODGE, reveals he lives in our hero's basement. Then ZIM desides to mess with Dib when he finds out he knows a little TOO much. So he, GIR, and Minimoose (ZIM's OTHER sidekick) go and impersonate ghosts in Dib's house. It gets pretty crazy. I like it because it's got some classic ZIM humor, a part with ZIM's imagining of Dib crying, and it's CRAZY!

Here's the hillarious reading at InvaderCON.

  • The Trial (Guess Which Show....)
ZIM's put on trial by his leaders, THE ALMIGHTY TALLEST, for everything he's done in his life (appartently, ruining Operation Impending Doom I wasn't his first offence..). Meanwhile, GIR temperarily conquers Earth! This just sounds like and awesome special, and it would've been fun to see. For some reason, I want Jesse McCartney to voice a character from the episode named "Little Timmy", because it would be hilliarious, and I'm a Jesse fan and it'd connect him to ANOTHER thing I like. Probably would've never happened, but I can dream, can't I?

There's no audio recorded, but I found the script here.

  • Bye Bye Beavers (The Angry Beavers (What? Not ZIM?)
I've come to like The Angry Beavers. It was... is a good show. There was a series finale that was written, but was never made because apparently it broke the rules they had at Nickelodeon about revealing the characters weren't real, etc., so it never happened. Boo! Am I the only one that finds it stupid that they had rules about that? I mean, I understand censorship rules for shows, but..... Um, I'm going on a tangent, aren't I? Let's reign it back in.....

I like this episode because it's a unique idea for a finale. With the main characters going through what cartoon characters apparently go through after the shows cancelled, and going to "The Other Side". And I love the fact the characters start to refer to each other by their voice actor's name or some mixture. ("It's okay, Richie-Dag...." "Ya know what, Nicky-Norb?")

I think this is the audio, but there's no script with it. It has a lot of laughing, so it must be a rough one or something.

So that's all for now. If I find more, I'll post 'em.

Anyone Else Notice?

So I was going retro and watching some episodes of The Angry Beavers today. Anyway, I started watching the episode "Moronathon Man" (AKA the episode Norb and the other animals become stupid and Dag is the only one who's unaffected, for those who've seen it), and I couldn't help but notice something.

There was a slight similarity to an episode of INVADER ZIM.

To clarify, it turns out that Daggett's the only one immune to the "Stupidity Potion" (no, really) in the pond water that everyone drank, and his body can produce the antidote through his burps (seriously). The scientists responsible for said potion in the first place then load up Dag in a gun and have him burp at everyone, thus curing them (well, mostly). Hooray! But HOW is this similar to ZIM, besides Daggett and ZIM having the same voice actor?

Well, allow me to explain as I pull out my pointer and get my diagram. Wait, I don't own a diagram...... Well, just listen.

In INVADER ZIM, there is an episode called "Lice", where all the children get, well, lice. And ZIM, the title character, is immune (due to being an alien). Eventually the people in-charge of dealing with the lice outbreak find out ZIM's skin destroys the lice, so he's.... wait for it... loaded into a gun and his liquefied skin is sprayed on everyone, killing the lice and the "Queen Louse" that caused them. Yeah...

See the similarity? And both characters, again, are voiced by the same guy! Wait, I already said that? Oh well, Richard Horvitz (said guy) is awesome, so he can be mentioned repeatedly! Oh, and they both aired on the same network. The retroactive hilarity continues!

I'd post links of the episodes in question, but I can't find "Moronathon Man" on YouTube. I can find "Lice" though, but it'd kinda be pointless to put it up if I don't have the other to compare it to. So just..... whatever... look for it yourself! (Netflix is where I found Angry Beavers..).

All in all, it's a weird coincidence. I heard that the ZIM example was a homage to Aliens, but I'm not sure about the Beavers one. But it's funny that almost three years after one episode of a show, another show does an episode with something similar....

(And on an unrelated note, yes, I spell "ZIM" and INVADER ZIM with all caps. That's how I roll...)
