Loveable Freak Reviews Portal

Hello, and welcome to The Mildy Nerdy Ramblings Of A Loveable Freak Internet Reviewing Initiative. Test Subject: LOVEABLE FREAK has just completed Video Game: PORTAL for Entertainment, Reviewing, and Science. Her findings during the experiment have been compiled for HER peers as follows:

Test Subject: LOVEABLE FREAK
Video Game: PORTAL

Hey, guys! Long time no write! So, I've finally played Portal! You see, there's this rental place in my town (yeah, those still exist! I know, I'm shocked, too!) and they finally had a copy of The Orange Box (AKA The only way I could play the game without downloading it on its own from Xbox Live...), so I grabbed it and played.

And hoo boy, am I glad I did...

Alright, in the game, you play as Chell, our silent protagonist. She is stuck in the facility of Aperture Science, doing tests for the AI known as GLaDOS, who promises cake if you succeed in these dangerous tests. But as you continue, you'll see things aren't right in Aperture... Puzzles, Lies, and Turrets ensue.

In the game, you have the portal gun, which shoots, you guessed it, ducks. No, it's portals (obviously). You use them on the right surface to get around. You also have to get objects to the right buttons, use freaking annoying energy ball-shooty thingies to power up devices, and try and take out turrets.

The game is very fun, and the puzzles of each test chamber are fun and challenging. (It wasn't until the last chambers I had to break down and use walkthroughs... :/) It is relatively short, I'd gauge a little over the length of a game on the Internet, give or take. I'd say because it IS on a disc with 4 other games (Half-Life 2, 2 side games of that game, and Team Fortress 2). I beat it in a little over a day, two days tops (a personal best!). But it's enjoyable, nonetheless.

The story is pretty good, too, though it doesn't really kick in until the later parts of the game. GLaDOS is one of the only speaking things (besides the turrets, who I'll get to later, and the personality cores) in the whole game, offering twistedly hilarious comments as you progress through the game. In fact, the game's often twisted, dark, Invader Zim-like humor is one of the highlights of the game!

Also, the game can be quite creepy at times. As you progress through the chambers, you'll start to find the scrawlings of someone who's been there before you, hidden in panels. There's the turrets, who, while having adorably childlike voices, WILL kill you with extreme prejudice (the blood... the blood... I didn't know so much could spray from the body while that body stays alive...). Heck, their cuteness almost makes them scarier... And there's the eerie atmosphere of the facility when you leave the chambers to... I've said too much, I don't want to spoil a 6 year old game... But it works for the game...

Test Subject: LOVEABLE FREAK left some extra notes as well:

-I freaking hate the energy ball things. They're hard to keep track of and kill you on contact. I'm glad they switched to lasers in the sequel... (yes, I've played the second one, too. I'll review that when I finish co-op with my brother...)
-I think I'd be here all day if I listed my favorite GLaDOS lines...
-Curiousity Core's my favorite core in this game...
-Alas, poor Companion Cube...
-I liked the part of the game where you have a whole large room of turrets, that you have to portal behind and drop. It's like something from a movie! ^_^)
-I tried not to make obvious cake jokes. I know those got old, Internet...
-... It's different, reviewing a game instead of some show or movie...

Test Subject: LOVEABLE FREAK left this final summation of her experience:

Overall, I enjoyed this game. I can see why people like it so much. It's fun, and I highly recommend it. I think it's available on Steam, I don't know, don't quote me on that, and you can get it on Xbox 360 as either part of The Orange Box (if you don't mind 4 other games (I think if I get my own copy, I'll try the other games, too...)), or if you have Xbox Live, as a download. Well, GLaD I played it, and finally wrote something here again. And I'll try to write more and review the next one! ^_^

Review Status: Complete.

A Shocking Revelation

So, this week my brother was playing the classic Super Mario Bros. 3. And we noticed how the Boos stop and shield their face when you look at them, but when you look away, they chase you.  At that point, I had a silent revelation:

 Can't look at you.

Don't attack when you look at them.

  Attack when you're not looking.

The Boos are obviously relatives of The Weeping Angels. So any image of a Boo becomes itself a Boo. And you can't look them in the eyes, because they will infect you by implanting an image in your mind.

Muah ha ha! Sweet dreams, Mario fans who are also Whovians!

KH3D Release Date: North America and Europe!

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. July 31st for North America, people. Seems far away, but it won't be long! (personally, I have Sherlock to keep me sane, so...) As for Europe, expect it to come out August 3rd! So, now begins the watching and waiting...

Things I Would Pay And/Or Kill A Man To See: Lego Sherlock Holmes

Okay, so, everyone by now surely knows I kinda like all things Sherlock Holmes. Anyway, I just got Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (LOVE IT!), and I got to thinking...

They should SOOO make a Lego Sherlock Holmes.

Think about it: Warner Bros. does (distributes, whatever the term is) the recent movies with my beloved Robert Downey Jr. in them (oh, and happy 3 day late birthday to him :D). Warner is also responsible for Harry Potter and DC Comics, and there's been Lego Harry Potter and Lego Batman games. So I don't see why they couldn't give Sherlock the Lego treatment. I for one would LOVE a little Lego Holmes, Watson, and Irene Adler. Oh, the fun I'd have.

Plus, think of all the abilities that the characters could have. There could be the classics, like "girls jump higher", and such. And maybe Holmes could have some cool deductive stuff, like finding things other characters can't. And they could employ "Holmes-O-Vision" as a sort of "follow this button code" thing. And he could have little disguise boxes only he can get into, and wear his various disguises (and his epic camouflage!). Moriarty and Moran could leave bombs or something. Moran could snipe things, too. Watson would have a gun, too (maybe we could see the return of blaster targets like in Lego Star Wars). Irene could have special "Charm" doors, like in Lego Batman, that only she could enter.

AND, just for fun, you know how in Lego Indiana Jones, how Indy could whip his companions to pull them over and kiss them? And in Lego Stars Wars II: The Original Trilogy (Yeah, I play a lot of Lego games, don't judge me), whenever Lando and Leia got close, Lando'd kiss her hand? Maybe Irene can do a gender-reversed version of that: Irene kisses Holmes whenever they're in proximity of each other.

I would love to see the reenactments of the scenes. Part of the fun of the Lego games is how they parody certain scenes. Like, say, the part where Holmes pushes Mary off the train ("I timed it perfectly!") in A Game of Shadows, or basically any Clingy!Holmes moment. Heck, I'd also love to see how they'd interpret the "beneath this pillow" scene (if they even do it, maybe it would just be Holmes in his underwear). It would be awesome if they could get Eric Loomis (you know, the guy who voices Iron Man in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes) to do Sherlock Holmes' gibberish. Since, you know, the similarity of his and RDJ's voices is uncanny.

They could probably release the potential game after the third movie comes out in 2013, since they tend to tie-in their game releases to the subject of the game's most recent release (Lego Pirates of the Caribbean came out around On Stranger Tides, for example). Plus, then we could get THREE movie levels.

And, on a wishful thinking note, if BBC/Moffat and Gattiss were nice and said okay, maybe an alternate Holmes and Watson costume could be BBC Sherlock!Sherlock and John (under something like "Sherlock Holmes (Modern)" and "Dr. Watson (Modern)"). Hey, a freak can dream, can't she?

So, anyone else want to see a Lego Sherlock Holmes? Anyone have any ideas? Don't stay quiet! Let me know!

So, Minor KH3D News...

Well, to start, on the 29th, the game officially releases in Japan. This will make things a LITTLE harder to get news, as my sources (*cough*WikipediaandTVTropes*cough*) will most likely have spoilers... :( Oh well, there's still the page for it on Gamestop as far as the release date goes...

But, there IS some other news stuffs:

1. THE WORLD THAT NEVER WAS IS PLAYABLE! (Say it with me, Organization XIII fans, "whoo-hoo!")

and 2. It's been revealed David Gallagher will be voicing the "Mysterious Figure" from Birth By Sleep. You know, the bonus boss who's impossible to beat? I know I do. Come to think of it, he might be "Bright Eyes". And now Gallagher has fulfilled his "Voice two characters" obligation all the American voice actors for the game seem to have. (I'm not counting Repliku and Data-Riku, since they're pretty much Riku...)

So, that's all I got. What do you guys think? Got any news you've gathered? You know the drill!

KH News Brief and SHERLOCK!!

Okay, so North America has a sorta-kinda release date. We're gettin' it in  the summer, too. No month yet. Well, that's good to know.

Oh, and I just finished watching the first season (or "series") of this British TV Show, Sherlock. It's awesome, and I'll tell you more stuff 'bout it later. Until then, because I felt this post was too scrawny, I found this video and added it. I kind of like the song...

Europe, Memoirs, and Acting, Oh My! And More Stuff, Too! (More Kingdom Hearts News)

I learned some new stuff this morning as far as Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance goes. Here we go!

European readers, listen up! You're going to get the game supposedly in Summer 2012. The release date keeps changing. If you don't speak English, your games will most likely be subtitled only. Sorry, guys. :( If it makes you feel better, North America (where I am) hasn't got our date yet...

But it should be soon. I've heard that the English voice actors have been working on dubbing, and that they may be done. So the release date should be soon.

There's also supposed to be a new feature, called the "Memoir" feature. From what I've heard, it's sort of a way to recap the games so far. So, if you have friends without the pleathora of systems that you need to keep up with this series, you could use this to "convert" your friends and get them up-to-date. Or just reminise/refresh your memory. AND, you seem to be able to playthrough parts. So that's what's most likely what Ursula's appearance was about last trailer. YAY! THERE'S STILL A WORLD LEFT! No, wait, I got word there's TWO other worlds left. Sweet....

Oh, you can apparently switch between Sora and Riku IN-GAME, so no "Save Multiple Games"! Yay!

And also, Dilan and Even are apparently back, too. And Isa may or may not be back (I read Lea wonders where he is). So, that's about eight members now... Let's make it TWELVE!! Lea's apparently looking for the others, so...

That's what I got for now. I'm keeping my eyes and ears peeled, so keep clicking back!

It Just Bugs Me...

So, I've been CONSTANTLY checking and re-checking Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance info to see if the US has a release date yet (sadly, no...). I've checked GameStop, and there's something I've read in the preview buzz that's been bugging me.

People saying Kingdom Hearts III will be the end.

Okay, why does everyone assume that it all ends in III? I swear, I read something that Tetsuya said that III would be the end of the Xehenort Saga. They never said that would be the end of the series. Just because it will be the last game where Xehenort must be fought doesn't mean it's the last game...

There's always another threat. Another bad thing to jeopardize the universe. Maleficent can rise back up and prove to us again how she's "The Mistress of All Evil". Or a whole new threat could come up! There's adventures of past Keyblade Masters. There's adventures in the future. In short, there could always be another possibility for a story.

Would I be upset if the series ended? Yes. It's been a part of my life for a long time. (Wow, that kind of sounded sad, but you know what I meant, right?) It'll be a sad day when the series ends. But if that's where they want to end it, fine. I know when the series ends, they'll do something amazing. I mean, 3D looks amazing, so III will probably be spectacular.

But I just don't like people assuming that III is the end. End of story. Until someone officially says, "This game is the grand finale", I'm not just going to jump to the conclusion that III will be the end.

After all, the beginning is the end is the beginning.

(Yeah, I don't get it either, I just wanted a song title reference...)

The Awesome Valentine's Day Gift of KH3D

So, it turns out Tetsuya and the people over at Square-Enix have given us a Valentine's Day gift. And I, will give you the gift of sharing it, because all my followers are my valentines this year.

Here it is, Happy Valentine's Day, courtesy of Square-Enix...

So here's what I gathered from the trailer:

  • We'll get more explanation as to why Axel Lea's back. And it appears he's on a path to RRRRRRREDEMPTION!
  • Sora's story appears to have to do with him dealing with the fact his heart is, as comic I read put it, "A freakin' apartment complex".
  • Braig is back, too. (Um, yay?) Still holding out for Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, and Larxene to come back so we can find out their real names (my money's on Myde, Ludor, whatever Marluxia's is, and Arlene).
  • We'll get to go to The World That Never Was! Huzzah!
  • Atlantica will apparently appear(?) (>:( That's not Phineas and Ferb...)
  • There's some Weird Red Bug-Eyed Organization Hood Guy involved. Let's call him "Bright Eyes" until we know his name...
  • ...And Sora's got some sweet dance moves.
So, I'm psyched even more than ever. I want to see Riku and Sora's stories! I want to see what Lea will be up to! I want to learn who Bright Eyes is supposed to be!

  So, Happy Valentine's Day people!

The Freak's Ranking of the Kingdom Hearts Games (So Far)

Well, with Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance coming up soon and fast, I felt the need to list the Kingdom Hearts games from the ones I was not as blown away by, and the ones I simply adored.

(*NOTE: I WON'T BE PUTTING THE ORIGINAL CHAIN OF MEMORIES (FOR GBA), THE VCAST GAME, THE MOBILE GAME, OR THE ORIGINAL coded (CELL PHONE GAME) AS I HAVE NOT PLAYED THOSE).

  6. Re:coded This is probably my least favorite game in the series. It wasn't horrible, but it was sort of... eh. Not exciting, but not a waste of $35. It was interesting, the different "game styles" in the world (but the Hollow Bastion gameplay was a tad annoying). Plus, the pictures for interactions instead of 3D lip-locked characters WAS a little less... weird. But I admit, having freakin' CLOUD as a party member in Olympus Coliseum was pretty cool, even if it was for a few seconds.

 5. Re: Chain of Memories Okay, for starters, I didn't have TEH EPIC HATEZ for the Card System that most people have. Yeah it could be annoying (DANG IT, TINKER BELL! QUIT MAKING ME HAVE TO TAP TRIANGLE FOR HEALTH! YOU GAVE IT TO ME INDISCRIMINATELY IN KHI!!) but it wasn't so bad. Plus, I could summon FREAKIN' CLOUD to slash things! Huzzah! And, of course, there was Axel. THIS was the game that made me fall in love with our favorite red-haired, wise-cracking pyromaniac. The exact moment? Two words and an action: "Good Bye." *snap* That is all.

 4. Kingdom Hearts II This was a very good sequel. It introduced us to the stylish Roxas and the rest of Organization XIII. There were some fun times, and the Commands were easier (though I hated that I had to change the side to get Summons) and being able to change Party members without going to the Main Menu. But I disliked that it felt kind of easier and FIGHTING FREAKIN' DEMYX!!! DARN YOU, DEMYX! FIGHTING XEMNAS AS THE FINAL BOSS IS EASIER! But still, it was a good game.

 3. Kingdom Hearts The one that started it all. I remember when I first played it, I excitedly was telling my Dad about how awesome the opening was ("And then, I (Sora) looked over and saw me ,falling from the sky, then I was falling, and..."). And there was that immortal moment when Sora sacrifices himself to save Kairi. And then Kairi saves him. Aww... The first game is a classic. Truly, a classic.

 2. 358/2 Days This is the better of the two DS games. I like the fact it had Multiplayer missions and the story. It introduced me to Xion (whom I adore). And I loved the fact it had cutscenes (Re:Coded had them, too, true, but Days was first, so I was more impressed). I also loved the immortal line: "Roxas, that's a stick." Anyway, it was a good game, and I played it nonstop. I was always itching to play it again.

 1. Birth by Sleep This game was amazing. There's the technical stuff, like the graphics, but also the other things. I loved Ven the minute he got excited for a meteor shower. And Aqua was awesome, I think we can all agree. And Vanitas, he's just such an evil jerk... I love him that way. And there is Zack Fair from Crisis Core. Lord, I need to play his original game. Just... Overall, it's just... it's just an awesome game. It was TOTALLY worth buying a PSP.

So, that's my take on the games so far. I love this series overall. It's kind of hard to rank them, but I have. I can't wait for the next installment. So, what are your guys' thoughts?

KH3D JAPANESE BOX ART UNVAILED!

Well, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance box art has been unveiled. (*gasp* Just like the post title says!) And here it is:
SORA! NOOOOOOOOOOO!

This is just amazing. I almost wonder if there's foreshadowing. Sora falling as Riku rises up. Maybe it's symbolically showing Riku will rise to the occasion and rise up as a hero. Boy needs some nice things to happen to him.

But then what does that mean for Sora? Will Sora have to face some INTERNAL DARKNESS!? That would explain my beloved, evil Vanitas appearing. OOH! Ooh, ooh, OOOOOOOOH!!!!! Will we have Vanitas and Sora having a battle in the center of the mind? heart? Will Ventus, Roxas, and Xion appear to give him backup in that senario? I hope so! The fact Mickey's reaching for Sora sort of supports my "Sora's INTERNAL DARKNESS" theory.

Also, I dig the stylized "10" (the Keyblade and the heart) to symbolize the 10th Anniversary of the series. Wow, ten years. Has it really been that long since Sora first had his Dive Into The Heart? Ten years since Riku was possessed by Ansem, Seeker of Darkness? Ten years since Tetsuya Nomura and the guys at Square-Enix proved to the world they COULD make a Final Fantasy/Disney Crossover work? Crazy how the years fly by...

Well, that's the Japanese cover art. The North American cover is still possibly, as Young Justice's Robin would say, "veiled". I hope that the North American cover is the same as this one.

Well, that's all the news I got for today! Your thoughts?

Quick KH3D News-Thingy

'Kay, so maybe I was misinformed about The Firebird being the boss for the Fantasia world (Symphony of Sorcery) in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, as I said earlier. But CHERNABOG will be a boss for Riku. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! As I said before, it took me a good long time to beat KHI Chernabog.

Oh, and there will be seven worlds in need of awakening in the game. There are six that have been already said, so there's one more left to reveal. My fingers are still crossed for a Phineas and Ferb world. C'MON! I WANNA SEE SORA AND RIKU IN DANVILLE!

Wouldn't it be awesome if P and F had a world in KH, if Phineas says a line in a "conversation pit" (you know, places where you can talk to characters without cutscenes) alluding to the fact Vincent Martella (Phineas's voice) was in Final Fantasy XIII. Something like:
"Hey, Sora! That's a cool sword you have! Wish I had something like that. Like, I don't know.... a boomerang! Hey, I know what we're gonna do tomorrow!"
No, I haven't played FF XIII, but I would still find something like that awesome. I got a soft spot for Actor Allusion. Anyway, guess we got to wait a while for the last world to be revealed. Besides, Japan's getting the game next month, so it's only a matter of time before we find out.

I can't wait to find out about North America's release date....

I Defend: Xion

Yes, I've decided to defend a fictional character. So there.

*Mild Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Spoilers Here*
In the Kingdom Hearts fandom, most of the original girl characters are pretty controversial. You know, some people like/love them, others dislike/hate them. Except Aqua. Aqua is pretty much awesome to everyone. We all pretty much agree on her (any dislikers are silent).

Anyway, Xion appears to get the worst of it. And I feel bad. I love Xion. I'm not "HOW DARE YOU DISLIKE XION! ROAR! IMMA KILL YOU, HATERZ!" I just feel like she doesn't deserve some of the hate she gets.

Before I go on, I just want to have a quick disclaimer. Everyone has the right to like/dislike a character. That's fine. I'm just against irrational hate and excessive hate.

1st reason I'm just going to get out of the way is "I hate you 'cuz you get in the way of my favorite pairing!" I think that's a stupid reason to hate someone/a character. Just because you perceive so-and-so as a threat to a potential relationship doesn't always mean you should hate them simply for that. I find that a tad immature.

2nd reason is that "She don't do much!" Okay, granted, we didn't see Xion do many BIG things in her time as Number XIV. She did beat that massive Darkside (though some many argue that Roxas weakened it). But we didn't get to see her non-Roxas missions, so how can some people accuse her of being useless? She has the same job as Roxas, ya know?

And we see signs of her improving mighty nicely. In her and Axel's first face-off, I felt she held him off rather well. Remember, Axel is an EXPERIENCED assassin. It would have been interesting to see how it'd have played out if Roxas hadn't spoken up.

And in their second showdown. Yes, we only saw the results, and I know Xion lost. But she also wore our favorite red-haired pyro down but good. I mean, he collapsed shortly afterward.

(I'd say skip to a certain point in the video, but I feel Quinton Flynn's (Axel) performance was particularly awesome in this cutscene, so it is worth seeing. Seriously, listen.)

Honestly, I don't think it's right to say she's weak when she's shown she's pretty capable.

That's all I can come up with now. But, if anyone has heard any other "Anti-Xion" arguments, let me know, and I'll try to address them. But for now, I leave you with this:

STARE INTO THE BIG EYES OF MANGA XION AND TRY AND THINK BAD THOUGHTS ABOUT HER!
I appologise if I have offended anyone.

Japan Has A Realease Date For KH 3D, English Website Up, And More!

Japan's release date for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is now officially March 29, 2012. Sadly, there is no official release date for North America or Europe yet.

But we got the official website up now! Whoo!

Yeah, they don't got much yet. All that's up right now is another trailer, in Japanese (but the localized trailer's coming soon). It's more or less Jump Fiesta Trailer: The Abridged Version, but there are some new additions worth a look.

Also, there's to be a Kingdom Hearts 10th Anniversary Box coming out soon (in Japan, at least), that's to have all sorts of wonderfulness to commemorate the series' milestone. IT will contain KH 3D and the two traditional DS entries of the series (358/2 Days and Re:coded, (already got those, though)), 12 post cards with the cover art from the past games, and a protect cover. And there's a hardware bundle. Hmm... maybe I should hold out a little longer before I rush out and grab a 3DS, in case the US gets this offer...

Now, I leave you with this new screenshot, showing FANTASIA MICKEY!

*gasp* Could it be? The King, possibly dabbling in teh dark magikz? I dunno, but I can't wait for the English game just for an explanation...

KH3D NEWS, REVELATIONS, AND THEORIES I HAVE/SUPPORT!

Okay, ANOTHER world's been announced. The world is based on Fantasia. And we WILL see Sorcerer Mickey! And I here the boss is Firebird, not Chernabog, so halleluah! Chernabog took me for FREAKIN' ever to defeat!

Also, I realized something about the trailer. Lea and Ienzo are a little old for their scene to be a flashback to Pre-KHI... Yes, yes they are. So... obviously...

Lea.

Has.

Come back.

To life!

Oh heck yes! Feel sad that this means little Ienzo DID "die" as a kid. *sniff* Small children death is depressing....

BUT LEA IS BACK FOR GOOD! AW, YEAH, BABY!

I have a theory about Lea. That he IS IMMORTAL! Here's an example of my reasoning: He was meant to die when he fought Roxas at the end of the tutorial, but since the fans loved him (and I think the dev team did, too), he lived 'til nearly the end. And now he's back! So he was OBVIOUSLY on to something with that "live forever in everyone's memories" thing:

Also, I read this theory that I just ADORED. It was that Kairi will be training to use that there Keyblade o' hers, and Lea will at some point run into her (maybe even help train her) and it will be AWK-WAAAAAARRRRRRRDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!! I picture that going like this:

LEA: (pops into room with Kairi) HELLO!
KAIRI: (Freaks out and goes to attack Lea)
LEA: WHOA!
MICKEY MOUSE: (jumps between them) No, Kairi, this is a friend. This is Lea...
KAIRI: (stops) I know him. He kidnapped me!
LEA: Eh, I don't like to live in the past... Sorry 'bout that.

...Or something like that.

So, anyone here anything else about the game? Anyone excited about Lea?  Any theories you got? Let me know, ,people!

2012

So, it's 2012. Well, if we're all going to die this year (which I highly doubt. There's evidence out there against it, but does anyone listen? Noooooooo....) it would be an awesome year to end. Because...

  1. The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra comes out this year! (AND IT LOOKS AWESOME!)

2. Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. That is all..

3. THE AVENGERS! THE AVENGERS! THE AVENGERS!

Yup, the world may possibly end (which I still have skepticism about). But hey, at least it'll end with watching Legend of Korra on the Internet while playing KH:3D before heading to the movies to get my fill of Hawkeye, Black Widow and Robert Downey Jr.'s combined awesomeness. I'm totally content with that.

Even MORE KH Dream Drop Distance News

So, I found out even more about Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance:

  • There will be even more World Ends With You characters. (I REALLY should play that game..)
  • There WILL be a high-quality FMV with Xion AND Axel in it! (YAY!)
  • More Confirmed Worlds: The Three Musketeers and TRON: Legacy.
  • Sora gets a new Tron Suit and Riku gets his own Tron suit (sweet).
  • There will be a young Xehenort.
  • VANTITAS. WILL. APPEAR. (HECK. YES!)
  • Apparently Ienzo will get older (maybe this will make his implied death less... sad).
  • LEA IS IN HERE! (AND HE LOOKS MORE LIKE AXEL!)
  • Japan's release has been confirmed for March 2012 (still no word about North America... :( )

This game continues to look more and more awesome. This could possibly be the best game ever, and the forecast says it will be a million and six times better! Who knows? I can't wait to find out more. And to get my freaky little hands on a 3DS and play it.
Here's the latest trailer for the game. C'mon! Come out already!

New Worlds For KH3D (And My Suggestions)

So, I know two of the new worlds in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. One is a Hunchback of Notre Dame world and apparently Pinocchio is getting a new world, too. Oh, and Traverse Town will have two new districts.

Anyway, I had some ideas for potential Kingdom Hearts Worlds:

- TANGLED WORLD

World Name: Corona

Why: Well, one of the themes in Tangled is following your dreams. And this is DREAM Drop Distance. Eh? Eh?

Story: *NOTE, I'm assuming the story'll be like Birth By Sleep, with Sora doing one part, and Riku doing the other, so that's sort of what I'm doing here* Sora will help Rapunzel and Flynn get to the Kingdom, and Riku will drop in when Flynn gets arrested, help him bust out of the dungeon, and get to Rapunzel's tower.

- MARVEL WORLD

World Name: ... I got nuthin'

Why: 'Cause it's awesome. 'Nuff said, true believers.

Story: ... Again, I got nuthin', Avengers won't be out in time. :(

- PHINEAS AND FERB WORLD

World Name: Danville or Tri-State Area

Why: Awesomeness/Hey, Neku's the first Non-Final Fantasy Square character in KH, why can't Phineas, Ferb, and the Gang be the first non-movie Disney characters to be in KH?

Story: Mini-Game World. Sora helps the boys with what they're gonna do that day (complete with rhythm game for the necessary musical number!), while Riku helps Agent P thwart Doctor Doofenshimrtz!

So, those are my ideas. Anyone got any ideas? Anyone agree/disagree with mine? Let me know in the handy-dandy comment box!

Weekend Artwork #14: X-23 Vs. Xion

So, you know how I like Marvel and Kingdom Hearts? Well, I WAS going to do a fusion picture of X-23 and Xion, but then I decided: "Naw, let's just make a fight scene!" Then the voices in my head cheered, "YES! FIGHT SCENES! SHE SAYS WHAT WE'RE ALL THINKING!" Thus, this is what was born from my brain-meats.

It's kinda weird the initial similarities between Xion and Laura. Both are (*358/2 SPOILER*) female clones of a male character (Sora and Wolverine, respectively), both have dark hair, both were created by sinister groups. Heck, said groups even have roman numerals in their names!

Of course, they have their differences, but I'm just pointing out the minor similarities.

Behold! A crossover fight caused by trigger scents, missions, and few unkind words.....

Yeah, I'm adding this to my list of "Things I Wannna See In A Marvel/KH Crossover"...
So, that's about it! PS, if anyone realizes why it's appropriate that THIS is this weekend's Weekend Artwork, you'll win.... imaginary cookies. They have imaginary chocolate chips and sparkly, sugary rainbow sprinklessssssss......

Oh, and I found this, X-23's Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Theme. Battle Music, anyone? ^^
