Well, with Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance coming up soon and fast, I felt the need to list the Kingdom Hearts games from the ones I was not as blown away by, and the ones I simply adored.
(*NOTE: I WON'T BE PUTTING THE ORIGINAL CHAIN OF MEMORIES (FOR GBA), THE VCAST GAME, THE MOBILE GAME, OR THE ORIGINAL coded (CELL PHONE GAME) AS I HAVE NOT PLAYED THOSE).
6. Re:coded This is probably my least favorite game in the series. It wasn't horrible, but it was sort of... eh. Not exciting, but not a waste of $35. It was interesting, the different "game styles" in the world (but the Hollow Bastion gameplay was a tad annoying). Plus, the pictures for interactions instead of 3D lip-locked characters WAS a little less... weird. But I admit, having freakin' CLOUD as a party member in Olympus Coliseum was pretty cool, even if it was for a few seconds.
5. Re: Chain of Memories Okay, for starters, I didn't have TEH EPIC HATEZ for the Card System that most people have. Yeah it could be annoying (DANG IT, TINKER BELL! QUIT MAKING ME HAVE TO TAP TRIANGLE FOR HEALTH! YOU GAVE IT TO ME INDISCRIMINATELY IN KHI!!) but it wasn't so bad. Plus, I could summon FREAKIN' CLOUD to slash things! Huzzah! And, of course, there was Axel. THIS was the game that made me fall in love with our favorite red-haired, wise-cracking pyromaniac. The exact moment? Two words and an action: "Good Bye." *snap* That is all.
4. Kingdom Hearts II This was a very good sequel. It introduced us to the stylish Roxas and the rest of Organization XIII. There were some fun times, and the Commands were easier (though I hated that I had to change the side to get Summons) and being able to change Party members without going to the Main Menu. But I disliked that it felt kind of easier and FIGHTING FREAKIN' DEMYX!!! DARN YOU, DEMYX! FIGHTING XEMNAS AS THE FINAL BOSS IS EASIER! But still, it was a good game.
3. Kingdom Hearts The one that started it all. I remember when I first played it, I excitedly was telling my Dad about how awesome the opening was ("And then, I (Sora) looked over and saw me ,falling from the sky, then I was falling, and..."). And there was that immortal moment when Sora sacrifices himself to save Kairi. And then Kairi saves him. Aww... The first game is a classic. Truly, a classic.
2. 358/2 Days This is the better of the two DS games. I like the fact it had Multiplayer missions and the story. It introduced me to Xion (whom I adore). And I loved the fact it had cutscenes (Re:Coded had them, too, true, but Days was first, so I was more impressed). I also loved the immortal line: "Roxas, that's a stick." Anyway, it was a good game, and I played it nonstop. I was always itching to play it again.
1. Birth by Sleep This game was amazing. There's the technical stuff, like the graphics, but also the other things. I loved Ven the minute he got excited for a meteor shower. And Aqua was awesome, I think we can all agree. And Vanitas, he's just such an evil jerk... I love him that way. And there is Zack Fair from Crisis Core. Lord, I need to play his original game. Just... Overall, it's just... it's just an awesome game. It was TOTALLY worth buying a PSP.
So, that's my take on the games so far. I love this series overall. It's kind of hard to rank them, but I have. I can't wait for the next installment. So, what are your guys' thoughts?

KH3D JAPANESE BOX ART UNVAILED!
Well, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance box art has been unveiled. (*gasp* Just like the post title says!) And here it is:
![]() |
SORA! NOOOOOOOOOOO! |
This is just amazing. I almost wonder if there's foreshadowing. Sora falling as Riku rises up. Maybe it's symbolically showing Riku will rise to the occasion and rise up as a hero. Boy needs some nice things to happen to him.
But then what does that mean for Sora? Will Sora have to face some INTERNAL DARKNESS!? That would explain my beloved, evil Vanitas appearing. OOH! Ooh, ooh, OOOOOOOOH!!!!! Will we have Vanitas and Sora having a battle in the center of the
Also, I dig the stylized "10" (the Keyblade and the heart) to symbolize the 10th Anniversary of the series. Wow, ten years. Has it really been that long since Sora first had his Dive Into The Heart? Ten years since Riku was possessed by Ansem, Seeker of Darkness? Ten years since Tetsuya Nomura and the guys at Square-Enix proved to the world they COULD make a Final Fantasy/Disney Crossover work? Crazy how the years fly by...
Well, that's the Japanese cover art. The North American cover is still possibly, as Young Justice's Robin would say, "veiled". I hope that the North American cover is the same as this one.
Well, that's all the news I got for today! Your thoughts?

The 1st Annual Loveable Freak Flag Awards: Nominees *VOTING CLOSED*
So, I saw the results of The Golden Globes (I couldn't watch them, NBC kept screwing up >:(...), and was displeased by the results. Mostly because 1) Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was not nominated (but maybe it wasn't out in time), 2) Superhero movies are NEVER nominated, 3) I rarely know what half the movies up are (It's usually the first I hear of most of the flicks), and 4) Two of the Animated Movie nominees I saw that I felt should have won (Rango and Puss in Boots) did not.
And the Oscars are more or less the same.
That's why I've decided to have my OWN awards! Featuring outstanding and entertaining moments and people/characters in movies, TV shows (read, mostly cartoons), and for the heck of it, video games.
So, without further ado, the nominees for the 1st Annual Loveable Freak Flag Awards!
*Awards may not have all categories due to the creator of the awards not having any ideas for some "typical" award, :(, and some categories have more nominees than others .*

THE AVENGERS CONTINUES TO LOOK EPIC!!!
So, there was a Super Bowl Ad for The Avengers, and an extended one on YouTube. Here it is!
Okay, should we give Robert Downey Jr. his "King of the Universe" crown now, or wait until the movie.
Also, I soooo want a T-Shirt that says "Avengers: We Have A Hulk" now.

Quick KH3D News-Thingy
'Kay, so maybe I was misinformed about The Firebird being the boss for the Fantasia world (Symphony of Sorcery) in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, as I said earlier. But CHERNABOG will be a boss for Riku. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! As I said before, it took me a good long time to beat KHI Chernabog.
Oh, and there will be seven worlds in need of awakening in the game. There are six that have been already said, so there's one more left to reveal. My fingers are still crossed for a Phineas and Ferb world. C'MON! I WANNA SEE SORA AND RIKU IN DANVILLE!
Wouldn't it be awesome if P and F had a world in KH, if Phineas says a line in a "conversation pit" (you know, places where you can talk to characters without cutscenes) alluding to the fact Vincent Martella (Phineas's voice) was in Final Fantasy XIII. Something like:
"Hey, Sora! That's a cool sword you have! Wish I had something like that. Like, I don't know.... a boomerang! Hey, I know what we're gonna do tomorrow!"No, I haven't played FF XIII, but I would still find something like that awesome. I got a soft spot for Actor Allusion. Anyway, guess we got to wait a while for the last world to be revealed. Besides, Japan's getting the game next month, so it's only a matter of time before we find out.
I can't wait to find out about North America's release date....

Overused Plot Parody #6: He Got Irked!
So, I finally got an idea for these again! After the epic fail that was "Back to Tak" , I came up with a next instalment of the series after a hiatus.
Ladies and Gents, I give you....
He Got Irked!
Zim and Dib were in the heat of battle in Zim's lab. Zim had captured people as test subjects, and you know Dib wouldn't let that go on.
Zim shoved Dib into a weird generator, labeled "The Plot Device", that just so happened to be in the corner. When Dib hit the generator, something flickered on his face. It was an Irken face. Zim freaked out. "The Dib? Half-Irken?" Dib tilted his head. "Really? That's your first conclusion?" Zim ignored Dib. "COMPUTER! SCAN THE INSIGNIFICANT IRKEN IMPOSTOR!" "Yes, Alliterative Master!" The computer replied, scanning Dib.
"Sir! Dib is inexplicably an Irken." Zim and Dib freaked out. "My kind, soiled!" Zim screeched. "My life! Ruined!" Dib shouted. There was insane giggling. The two horrified enemies looked left to a container holding a girl.
"Yay! You two can work together to destroy mankind!" Dib raised an eyebrow. "Why would I do that?" The girl smiled. "'Cause your gunna looooooovve each other!" Dib and Zim were disgusted. "Or maybe you're brothers!" They were both doubly disgusted, and Zim was about to rant about how the mighty Zim had no siblings, and he was too amazing to have relatives, anyway. Then the girl made a blasphemous claim so horrible, the author could not bear to write it.
Zim lost it. "COMPUTER! KILL THIS HORRIBLE HUMAN FULL OF LIIIIIIEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!" Zim looked around. "Where is the disgraceful Dib-Irken?" The Computer answered, "He left, saying something about wanting to end it all rather than be the same creature as his worst enemy..." Zim scowled. "Eh, I can't let him do that! Only I am allowed to end the Dib! Selfish abomination..."
Zim began to storm out of his lab. "Eeeeeeee! He's gonna save Dib! He DOES love him..." The girl squealed. "COMPUTER!!!" Zim called. The Computer analyzed the human. How was he going to end her? Lasers? No, they'd been overused lately. Neurotoxin? No, that seemed like another AI's shtick.
Suffocate the human in a liquid-solid? "That's original...." He mused. Yep, The Computer was going to go with that....
THE END

Well, there you have it!

Proof of Darren Criss's Awesomeness
So, I watched Glee last night and was a little lost as to the plot, 'cause I missed some episodes. Anyway, that's irrelevant. Afterwards, I had to make this:
That is all. Now I leave you with the awesome "Smooth Criminal" cover from the episode.
