FROM THE LEGEND OF KORRA: THE CUTEST. THING. EVER!

So, The new Avatar series, Legend of Korra, comes out April 14th (WHOO!) And I found a clip. It'd from when the current Avatar, Korra is little, and the White Lotuses are going to see if she's really the Avatar. And it has the awesomest/most adorable thing EVER!

Oh, I'm going to like Korra...

UPDATE: Darn it, the poster of the video removed it... >:( Oh well, April 14th isn't that far away... :(

Things I Would Pay And/Or Kill A Man To See: Benedict Cumberbatch In A Marvel Movie

Okay, here's my new "segment". Where I pretty much talk about stuff I want to see. (*gasp* Just like the title!)

Okay, so I love Sherlock, no secret there, am I right? And that has made me a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch, the awesome man that plays him. For example, I admit I actually want to see The Hobbit because he's voicing Smaug. And I heard he's going to be in the next Star Trek movie, so I want to see that movie now, too. I'm not ashamed to fess up to that. Benedict's that awesome.

Now, one thing that I often do with actors I like is try and think of how they could be in my other favorite things. It's hard to do for some people, though. *sigh* Poor Chris Colfer and Jesse McCartney, they have no roles in my hypothetical Marvel movies yet :(. But Benedict is someone I want to see in a Marvel movie, too. It's a little hard to come up with something for him, but I sort of did.

I want him to play Doctor Strange.

Here me out, first of all, that movie is on the table for Marvel, so there's a high possibility that can become a reality. I would be interested to see what he would do as the character. Cumberbatch's a good actor. I know that technically Doctor Strange is physically 40, and Cumberbatch does not look 40.  But there's some good make-up artists, and it would be cool to see him (Benedict) with gray hair at the temples. Or it could be younger Strange.

Plus, think about it: if Benedict were a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he could run into Iron Man/Tony Stark AKA Robert Downey Jr. And then, we would have TWO SHERLOCKS IN ONE MOVIE! SHERLOCK SQUARED! DOUBLE SHERLOCK, WHAT DOES IT MEAN!? THE UNIVERSE WOULD EXPLODE FROM THE AWESOME! And it'd be worth it...

So, that's why I would love to see Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. Who wants to start a campaign for that?

UPDATE: Just remembered, Cumberbatch has these super-cool eyes. I forget the term, but they change color in different conditions (like more lighting). So, he could, with the right lighting, have the green eyes Doctor Strange has. I'm just sayin'...

Announcement Of Things To Come

So, I'm not going to let anything get me down! I kind of wanted to let you know some things I got planned:
  • MORE Sherlockian Fangirling!
  • MORE Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance News!
  • NEW! Things I Would Pay And/Or Kill A Man To See!
  • AND A Sherlock/Harry Potter "Crossover" Fanfic!
Why the quotations over "crossover"? Well, you'll see. I won't give anything major away, but it involves a cat, a chest, and a "children's" book. I'll leave you to speculate on that.

So, your thoughts? Any post suggestions? Artwork requests? Want a long-distance comment conversation? You know what to do!

The Awards Go To...

So, I had a plan in case my attempt at an award show didn't get no votes.

  Everyone/thing nominated gets the award.

So, I have a question for you all....

Should I bother writing out the show/acceptance speeches, or does it make no difference to you, I should move on and forget about this experiment?

  Please let me know.

Ramblin' 'Bout Sherlock (Oh, and Weekend Artwork #17)

Okay, by "Tomorrow", I meant Sunday. My bad. Anyway, I totally love Sherlock. To sum it up for people who are unfamiliar with the show, it's a British television show that's literally a modern-day take on Sherlock Holmes. It's awesome. I finished season one, and I'm waiting to see Season Two on PBS (I heard they're showing it in the US there in their "Masterpiece Theater" or something).

Anyway, I love this show, as I said before. Sherlock is now one of my favorite self-proclaimed high-functioning sociopaths. I am also now a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch. And I gotta admit, the show's version of Moriarty has grown on me. At first, I was like, "Eh, I'm not so sure.." then shortly after finishing "The Great Game" I decided he was alright with me, and I liked him more than Game of Shadows!Moriarty. Sherlock!Moriarty has more charisma.

Oh, I'm distinguishing the movies and the show mentally by referring to the movies!Holmes and Watson by... calling them "Holmes and Watson". Show!Holmes and Watson are "Sherlock and John" to me, as they are referred to in-show.

I think I'm starting the metamorphosis into a full-fledged Sherlockian, because I always internally giggle when I hear someone say/I feel bored. Because I think of Sherlock, who gets bored when he doesn't have something like a murder to solve. And this show (along with the Sherlock Holmes movies with my beloved Robert Downey Jr.) is really making me want to read the original books. Plus, it (and Doctor Who, which I recently started watching as well) is helping make me more cultured. I now know a "jumper" is a British term for a sweater! :D

Anyway, I've been obsessed with the show lately, and I drew some fanarts of the show. This was my favorite, and I thought, "Hey! Let's bring back Weekend Artwork!". So, I posted the AMAZINGNESS that is SHERLOCK AND JOHN DRESSED AS PHINEAS AND FERB!! BEHOLD, MORTALS!

Yes, Skull is the equivalent of Perry in this picture...
Well, there you go! I feel the need to remind everyone that IF for some reason you want  to use my artwork, please ask me first in the comments. I would prefer it if you asked permission first. Just a request.

Anyway, there's my ramblin' 'bout Sherlock.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled life.

KH News Brief and SHERLOCK!!

Okay, so North America has a sorta-kinda release date. We're gettin' it in  the summer, too. No month yet. Well, that's good to know.

Oh, and I just finished watching the first season (or "series") of this British TV Show, Sherlock. It's awesome, and I'll tell you more stuff 'bout it later. Until then, because I felt this post was too scrawny, I found this video and added it. I kind of like the song...
