Newsy News!

 I am going to do reviews again. Soon. Next Week, hopefully:

 My plans are to review Sherlock Season 3, first.

Then I'm going to review three Supernatural episodes form Season 9:

• 'Bloodlines" (to discuss how the pilot ultimately failed)
• "I'm No Angel" (because I need to rip that abomination to shreds myself)
• "Blade Runners" (I need to squee about this... So much)

As for those reviews of Marvel movies, I'll get to them when I get to them.

Same for the Supernatural recaps. Just not feeling them right now.

And I hope to start reviewing Hannibal episodes after Christmas, since hopefully I'll have the Season 2 DVD by then. Then I may review other shows. (If it's over 13-ish episodes a season, the review will be an overall, with maybe some episodes worth talking about getting individual reviews, if it's 13-ish or less, it'll be episode-by-episode most likely.

 Also, I might do a thing talking about my impressions on Constantine. That show looks pretty promising.

 Hey, I'm back! I've been busy this year, but I'm gonna try and remedy that! I have some reviews/plans.

• A little thing about why I like Hannibal, and why the show is such a good one.
• I am going to finish my Supernatural Recap/Retrospective/Review Things
• I want to do a whole thing of the Top 9(?) Worst Things About Season 9 of Supernatural...
• ...And a list of some of the  admittedly good things.
• I'll review season 3 of Sherlock
• I might possibly get around to reviewing X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (properly!), and X-Men: First Class
• Heck, I might even review each episode of Hannibal, season 1! (It's about 12 or 13 episodes, I can manage it).

Quick What I Plan To Do...

Hey. It's been a long time, hasn't it? Sorry, it's been crazy for a while, but I have some post ideas for the future...

-I'll finish my Supernatural season reviews. (well, 3-8...)

-I also have a little piece about my problems with the character Ezekiel in Supernatural.

-A review of the podcast Welcome To Night Vale.

-And of course, my yearly Thanksgiving Thank-You Notes...

 So, yeah, that's the plan, hopefully... 

2 Year Anniversary!

  Yes, I've made it to two years of running this little blog of mine! Break out the Dancing Downeylock and Hawkeye Gifs!

    So I thought I'd do a little something something. But the big thing I thought of doing I think I'll save for the 200th post. Instead, I think I'll do a little retrospective/news/stats/and a thank you. Okay? Okay!

 I think this year I really settled into what I would do with the blog. I found out I like doing reviews, mainly. I still do other stuff (news and the occasional opinion things I usually regret posting hours later), but reviews have kinda become my main thing. And people seem to like them, so that's always good.

  -I hit over 12,000 views as of this post! Yay! :D
-I got more followers! :D

 -Not much has changed as far as my most popular posts, but apparently my Elementary reviews have gotten more views than my BBC Sherlock reviews... Why? (Though I did notice my "Great Game" review got a bizarrely high (for me) viewcount after a day...)

 -January 2013 is when I've gotten my most views. (it was over a thousand!)

-Apparently, I still attract a lot of Russian readers... The thought of me being to Russians as David Hasslehoff is to Germans is a hilarious (albeit exaggerated) thought...

  Anyway, some announcements (subject to change):

  -I have an Elementary-related post planned for right after this post. (whether season 2 gets reviewed will be included in this)...

  -My 200th Post is coming up, so there's that...

  -Definitely more reviews (Season Three of Sherlock is coming up!)

  -Also, I kinda had an experiment I wanted to try. I've wanted to do fanfic MSTs (heck, I've done two). So I think I'll do my own little spin on it and do MST-style reviews of some fanfics that happen to be "riffable", giving criticism where due (mostly constructive). Think Atop The Fourth Wall meets The Half World (link leads to his MST list)...) I found this one giggle-inducing Sherlock fanfic that I just felt had to be read to be believed...

  So, that's about it... Except...

I'm Not Dead, Let's Start Blogging

 Sorry I haven't blogged in weeks, and that Marvel May didn't quite work out like I hoped. I didn't realize all the stuff that was going to happen that month, I got sucked into Twitter, I wasn't in a reviewing mood after that Elementary review, and I'm just freaking lazy. It's my biggest fault.

  Anyway, this is just a post to assure my followers I'm okay. (Hannibal gets a second season, how could I not be okay?) And I kinda wanted to state my plans:

-I feel bad about not at least finishing the X-Men reviews, so I'm going to finish those. (Plus, I have First Class now! So there's that...)

-I think I'll do a final overall review of Elementary just to vent out any residing thoughts...

-In the interest of expanding my horizons, I think I might start reviewing some fanfics and/or video games. (Or books...)

-I also wanna do an MST of this fanfic that is just... Not good... (with a twist).

-More reviews as they come up

-Website/Blog/Net Stuff Apreciations

-Also, I'm toying with the idea of doing a sort of "commentary" on that fanfic I did. It'll be like an MST of sorts...

Dear Other Fandoms, HELP A FANDOM OUT! Sincerely, A Fannibal (Or, "How One Show Can Greatly Benefit From The Help Of The Other Show's Fandoms, And Vice Versa"...)

  Okay, so I know Marvel May hasn't been working out as well as I hoped. (I didn't know I'd be this busy, and that last Elementary review kinda burned me out, leaving me unwilling to get to the next two X-Men... :( I'll try and do better these next few days...) Anyway, I kinda wanted to talk more about a show that's become very dear to me. And by talk, I mean plead for help...

  You see, I've become hooked on Hannibal. It's great. It brings me joy to watch. And, on Twitter (no, not telling y'all what my Twitter name is...) I've been hanging out with the fanbase, and we are all incredibly nice people, considering we watch a show named after cannibal serial killer. But we're also really worried, too. You see, we haven't gotten word on whether or not our beloved Thursday Night Obsession is going to make it to next season. We're supposed to get word by June 1st, but that only gives us one more week to do anything. We've had pretty successful Twitter campaigns, but we can't be sure.

  So, I'm going to make a plea. I've been trying to covert people on my Pintrest, but I think I can use my blog for this, too. Please watch this show! It's bloody brilliant!

  I've even prepared a plea/case for at least four of the fandoms to convince them why they should give Hannibal a chance...

ELEMENTARY

  Okay, I know you guys know I'm not exactly the biggest fan of this show. It's just not for me. But, think about it: your show wrapped up for the season last week. You have a huge gap in your Thursday plans and DVRs. Why not fill it with another show. It's just reruns now of Elementary, you won't miss anything. Besides, if you couldn't check out Hannibal because it was on at the same time, now you can. Your show is safe, it's getting another season. So why not help a show that's on the bubble?

  Plus, Will Graham is a bit like Sherlock, in that he's gifted at what he does. Plus, he's troubled but kinda cute. Kinda like Millerlock is troubled. And, Will's played by Hugh Dancy, who's British, but is really good at covering his accent. I couldn't even tell.

  I'm just saying, you need something to fill the void.

SHERLOCK

  Ah, my people! Long have we suffered in this hiatus! Our sanity has been worn to it's very fibers, and worn thinner still! But, hark, I have found something that has filled the whole in my heart, Hannibal! It has proven to be a show on par with Sherlock in quality. It's like America's equivalent to Sherlock in that regard. It's clever, it's great to look at. And it has murders! Lots and LOTS of murders!

  As I told the Elementary Fandom, Will Graham is cute, gifted, but troubled, girls! And again, played by a British actor... Just saying. Also, he has lots of dogs.

  And, if you're missing Moriarty, Hannibal is deliciously creepy. Mads Mikkelston does great at his job. His Hannibal a lot more subtle than Scottiarty, but he's also strangely likeable. Heck, he might be the sanest person on the show! No lie! And, yes, he's strangely kind attractive, too. I'll admit. Plus, he dresses sharply. STUPID HANDSOME CANNIBAL!

...What am I doing with my life?

DOCTOR WHO

  Again, our show won't be back until November 23rd, the 50th Anniversary. What else do we have to do? Our buddies Sherlock and Supernatural don't have anything else out for now. Merlin ended last year. And I think Hannibal deserves a try, Whovians. I don't know how else to bait you that I haven't already used, yet. Handsome guys, cleverness, Oh wait! But it also has creepiness! Lots and lots of creepiness! You thought Moffat gave you nightmares? Wait until you see what Brian Fuller and his crew cook up (pun partially intended)... I elaborate in my plea to Supernatural...

SUPERNATURAL

  You, too, my friend, have to wait for your next season, and Hannibal is great. You want nightmare fuel? We GOT nightmare fuel! The death tableaus are so creepy and gory. They aren't so horrifying that it's indecent, but they are still pretty creepy for primetime. How do people made into slowly dying comatose mushroom farms, bodies made into angels, human cellos, and totem poles of bodies sound? That make up for scary monsters? Speaking of which, next week's episode? The killer hides under the beds of his victims and drags them under. *nods* That sounds like sweet dream fuel, eh? It'll keep your need for horror whetted.

 And, I can't believe I'm going to make a plead to this side of any fandom, but...

  Fans of slash pairings! Those who ship stuff like Johnlock, Merthur, Destiel, etc. May I present you to Hannigram?

  (Okay, before I go further, I want to make it clear that I don't ship it. I'm not a big "ship guy/guy pairings" girl. I may jokingly ship something/joke about a guy/guy pairing. And, if I'm being honest, there are some of those pairings I like as guilty pleasures, at least. But I don't ship Hannigram. I can kinda see where they're coming from, but I don't. But, I'm not all "RAWR! YOU SHIPPERS MAKE ME SICK!" about it. I'm at the point in my life as a fangirl where I'm like, "*shrugs* Shippers gonna ship." It's inevitable. I have a whole post planned on shipping...)

  Yes, we have Hannigram. The fandom ships a cannibal serial killer with a empathic mental case. One's a sharp dresser and I guess qualifies as a bad boy, the other is a handsome woobie you want to hug and make everything okay for. (I can't believe I'm writing this...) They have some moments. And did I mention they both have a surrogate daughter of sorts, Abigail Hobbs? Heck, this week, Hannibal outright said, "we are her fathers now"! (I'm breaking down laughing. I'm really doing this? I'm going this far?) That alone is fanfic fuel, shippers!

  Okay, I gotta stop... I can't keep that up anymore...

  But see? I love this show! I just want it to do well! I don't want it to be one of those shows ended in it's prime, when it had so much more to offer. While shows that have gone on too long and don't deserve it anymore get to go on, like say Two and a Half Men (oh, sweet lord, let it die, CBS! It's not good anymore!) Please, please, PLEASE watch it! For the love of quality TV!

  This is my design plea...

...That is awesome, I was sorta rooting for them. And yet, when I root for Benedict Cumberbatch and Sherlock to win ALL the awards... LOL NOPE.

Underused Characters: Daimen from House of Night

I'm sorry I'm dragging you into something "House of Night"-related, River...

 Reader, Ye Be Warned*

  I dislike the House of Night books.

I mean, I liked them at first. The first book, Marked, was pretty good. Not perfect, but decent. But as the series went on, I slowly realized they could have should have stopped at one and moved on. After Awakened, Moriarty's voice popped in my head and said:

"You can’t be allowed to continue. You just can’t. I would try to convince you, but everything I have to say has already crossed your mind."

  Which was weird, since I hadn't watched Sherlock yet...

Anyway, I might re-read/finish them to do reviews on them someday, maybe in 2014 when the first movie comes out (oh sweet lord almighty WHY WOULD THEY MAKE THEM MOVIES?), or if I absolutely have nothing to read and get desperate (that's why I finished The Twilight Saga!), but I just... no. I don't want to read them anymore without another motive.

  One big problem I have with these books is how a lot of the characters feel underdeveloped. Mainly, the main character Zoey's friends (excluding Stevie Rae and Aphrodite, since they're apparently the only ones who matter and are allowed to develop or do anything). Yeah, pretty much the only reason they exist is:

1. To do rituals when the plot demands it
2. To prove that Zoey has other vampyre/fledgeling friends to back her up besides Stevie Rae.
3. And possibly to show, "Hey, one of her friends is black and another one is gay! Look how wonderful, unracist, open-minded, and accepting she is! LOVE HER, DANG IT!"

  What I'm trying to say is, they're more like props than characters. Which is a shame because one of the characters I felt had a lot more potential, was/could've been interesting, and I would rather read about than the protagonist! That character is Daimen.

  Before I go into the character, lets go over the book series in a nutshell. The story revolves around seventeen-year-old Zoey Redbird. Zoey is a vampyre (yes, that is how it's spelled here) fledging (a not-quite-a-vampyre-yet) at a special school for fledgelings while the go through the change into adult vampyres and hope they don't die from their bodies rejecting the change. Then it's discovered Zoey's the mega-super-awesome-specially-special one with power over all five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and spirit), the representative of the vampyre's goddess, Nyx, and has magic-y vampyre tattoos she gets like every book before she's even a real vampyre (all vampyres here get these tattoos that represent them on their face once they're a full-grown vamp. Like cutie marks on MLP: FiM!). And everyone just adores her! In short, she's kinda a total Mary Sue... I mean she's the chosen one! Yeah... (I got a 54 for her on The Mary Sue Litmus Test. But then, again, I haven't read these books in almost a year (hallelujah), so I'm a bit rusty...)

  But who cares about her? I sure as heck don't. I'm here to talk about Daimen!

  Daimen was introduced in the first book, Marked, as one of the friends and classmates of Zoey's roomie Stevie Rae (and then Zoey herself). They quickly let us know that he is gay, and offers to give them male insight on things without hitting on them. (Because everyone knows straight boys can't be friends with girls without hitting on them. Pssh, that's nonsense! ...Sorry 'bout that...) And also, we're informed that he's different from the other gay HoN students (whom we never see), in that he's not the effeminate-type. He's also shown to be rather well-read, and uses more advanced vocabulary. And to top it off, I think that he was also shown to be a good fencer!

  As the books went on, Daimen gained the power of  (or "an affinity for") wind, and I believe that it's mentioned male vampyre usually don't get powers (at least, not powers of the elements). And he gets an incredibly stereotyped boyfriend named Jack. And said incredibly stereotyped beau was killed for sacrifice in the last book I read because he was so purely pure.

  Anyway, I thought Daimen seemed like a fairly interesting character. I mean, an intelligent, fencing, wind-powered gay vampire? That just sounds awesome! I even hoped when Stevie Rae "died"/ went to the dark side, that he could get more focus. (In fact, it's even been said that he's Zoey's closest friend out of her initial group after Stevie Rae.) Sadly, that never happened. What I want to ask is, why?

  Why did a character with the potential to be interesting get so underused?

  I think part of it is the writers. Like I said, quite a few characters end up being little more than props. Daimen's barely got any sort of plots in the books since I read. The most he got was when Jack died, but even that was mostly glossed over and we barely even saw. What the heck, writers? Why do you skip over most emotional stuff? And he seems like he had the groundwork for some good stories. Especially in the hands of better writers who are better at the development of characters (JK Rowling or Moffat and Gatiss for example, anyone?)

  For example, it's mentioned that he has parents who dissaprove of his sexuality. And that he kept disposable cell phones out of fear in case something went bad. Is this ever touched on again? NO! Just like almost every other thing that doesn't concern Zoey or Stevie Rae!

  To be honest, I would rather have a story about him. Not Zoey. Zoey's annoying (yes, we KNOW you don't like to swear and all, Zoey. And neither do I. But seriously, even I say "crap". "Bullpoopie" just gets annoying...) and I'm sick of her polygamous ways. Daimen could be a much better protagonist. A book about a genius gay teenage vampyre who controls air and can fence? I would totally buy that book and read that! I would FUND the publishing of that book. How many gay vampire characters are out there, honestly? There is an untapped market, here! We'd make millions! Sure, we may or may not get some controversy, but who cares? We did something new!

 Anyway, that's my two bits on Daimen. A character idea that was cursed to be stuck in a terrible series.

  ...Now if you'll excuse me, I got an idea for a post that elaborates my list of complaints about this freakin' series. 

Well, Since There Won't Be A New Elementary Tonight Or Next Week...

  ...I've decided to use this time for some spring three weeks into the new year cleaning! I have a bunch of post drafts here, and I figure I'd better finish them and put them out. So, here's some of what to expect (though I may change my mind on some of these):

• A sort of "series" I wanted to start on characters I feel are underutilized in various things
• Something on the pros and cons of fandoms I happen to be a part of

• And possibly a list of my favorite things about Marvel's Cinematic Universe

  ...So that's what to expect, dearies. The first post of my new year clean-out (an MST) should be up really soon.

  I am dissapointed. He really deserved it. Oh, well; he still has that Crime Thriller Award (which looks SO MUCH COOLER by the way...) But he's still amazing. It just be nice if The Hollywood Foreign Press Assosiation could've rewarded it...

  In other news, I've decided I'm never watching Hatford and McCoys as it is no doubt awful and not as good as Sherlock... >:(

Not Going To Put It Off Anymore

  Long ago (like, in March or April or something), I said I was going to write a Sherlock/Harry Potter "crossover" fanfic and post it here on my blog. Weeelll, I've sort of procrastinated on it. Like, a lot. But no more!

  You see, I've been busy and haven't been posting. And, well, I've kind of been distract-Ohmahgosh, I'm having a Doctor Who marathon! Wheeeeeee!!!!!

  Anyway, since I haven't been posting much, I want Skepkitty to be able review my fic (or MST it if it turns out to be bad enough, whatever, either's awesome) on The Half World, and I really have nothing else to do (CURSE YOU BBC AMERICA! AND YOUR BEING ON CABLE AIRING NEW DOCTOR WHO! I DON'T GET THAT TV NO MORE!!!! *insert hashtag phrase here*) I'm putting it up today and for the next... err... 15 days (16 chapters. Brace yourselves...)

  So, that's what's going to happen. I'm going to also put up a page to direct people to the fic for easy access.

  ...Yeah, this post is just to cut down on an author's note. It's mostly pointless.

  Expect the first chapter in a few minutes. This will either be my best work yet, or and epic fail. Oh well. Just get ready! :D

Goof-Ups I've had

 As much as I hate to admit it, I am not perfect. Especially when it comes to typing sometimes. Trust me, Spellcheck is my best friend sometimes. So, I felt like sharing three typos I've had: one general, one that I've corrected, and one mildly hilarious one from a post I did.

 -Ah, Mark Gatiss. He's rather awesome. I mean, he writes for (and has appeared quite a few times in) Doctor Who. He's (so far) the most consistent writer on Sherlock, writing two episodes I enjoyed (Steve Thompson having written the "weakest" episode of Series One, "The Blind Banker", then a good one in Series 2, "The Riechenbach Fall" (RIECHEN- nope, not gonna do the gag). And Moffat wrote the fantastic episode "A Study in Pink", then wrote the episode with a rather irksome Adler interpretation known as "A Scandal in Belgravia.") And to top it off, he plays Mycroft on that show as well. And I'm eager to see how he writes "The Empty House". I'm sure it'll be fantastic.

 But why on Earth do I have so much trouble with his last name? I mean, it's not that hard!
      

 First, I was somehow under the impression it was "Gatniss". I dunno, there was all that Hunger Games stuff, so my mind must've went: "Gatiss is similar to Katniss, so Gatiss=Gatniss". So for a while, I spelt it like some some of portmanteau crack couple name for him and Katniss. Then, I realized my mistake, and corrected it as best I could. (I'm sure in some of my older posts (around March-ish) still have this mistake if I haven't tried to fix them already).

  But the worst part is that I used this misspelling on Pintrest. And a lot of people don't edit what the stuff they're repinning says. So, long story short, there are a lot of repinned Gatiss pics that call him "Gatniss" now. (If anyone has repinned one of those and had it pointed out, I apologize, it's probably my fault.) Maybe if I'm lucky it'll turn into a meme. Then, yay for me... Heh, heh...

  Also, I know I've called him "Gattiss" at least once. Ironically, I was fixing the "Gatniss" that time I remember... Oops!

  So, I apologize for the misspellings, Mark Gatniss Gattiss ...Erm... the guy who plays Mycroft! :P

   -Ever since he first appeared in "The Empty Child", I have been a fan of Captain Jack Harkness on Doctor Who. He's my favorite companion of Eccleston's run, was one of my incentives to get through Series 3, and one of my overall favorite companions (along with Donna Noble and Rory Williams "Pond").

  But, at first, I forgot he had an "n" in his name, thinking it was "Harkess" (which, is still a cool name, by the way). This one was fixed sooner than the Gatiss fiasco, and I doubt that you'll find the error on this blog. (It was more of an error when I wrote little humor comics with him out of boredom.)

  ...Now that I think about it, I must've just stole the "n" from his name and gave it to Gatiss... Hmm...

 -And now, an error that never came up on any final drafts of my posts, but was just too bizarrely hilarious not to mention. In fact, it's what inspired this post in the first place!

 The error comes from my post about who my pick was to play Sebastian Moran on Sherlock. In that post, I have a picture of Eccleston with the caption "Could you be our Moran, sir?"

  However, I had accidentally put down "Could you be our Moron?" at first. After giggling at my mistake, I quickly fixed it before publishing. But still, I couldn't resist sharing.

  Haha. Oh, Eccleston. You know I don't think you're a moron. I think you're brilliant and fantastic! :)

  Ugh, in all my procrastination, I COMPLETELY forgot that August 5th was my blog's one year anniversary!

  Yes, I've been blogging for about a year now, and I've really enjoyed it! I've enjoyed sharing my thoughts (and more) with you, and hope to continue doing so. And, to honor this anniversary, I feel like sharing some facts about my blog.

Eleven Things About Myself

1. I am quite fond of things that originated from England, such as Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, and Harry Potter. I would love to visit that country someday.
2. I have a fondness for hats, and hope to get a great collection of interesting ones. (My favorite one I own is this black derby I've had for three years)
3. Sometimes I worry that I use the world "I" in conversation too much.
4. I believe that people should always keep a little, healthy bit of immaturity about them.
5. I believe I may have a little bit of OCD. Of course, it's only a self-diagnosis, but I think I have some of the symptoms. 
6. My dream in life is to write and draw my own comic book.
7. I dislike swearing and cussing. I can handle a little bit, but once it gets past a certain point...
8. My three favorite video games are the Kingdom Hearts series, Guitar Hero games, and The Sims 3
9. My favorite genres are Science Fiction, Action/Adventure, Fantasy, and Comedy.
10. I love music. I listen to an eclectic mix of music, but I typically like Alternative Rock (though I am growing to appreciate and listen to instrumental soundtracks, and I've rediscovered ska).
11. Speaking is not my forte. In fact, I have a speech impediment of sorts, and often rush my words.

1. What has been the greatest moment in your life so far? It's hard to say. Nothing too big's happened, and I've had a lot of great moments. For now, I'm going with when TV Tropes mentioned one of my comments on their page for (the blog) The Half-World. Specifically, saying it was a Crown Moment of Funny. Because 1) I would love to have a page on TV Tropes for something I've made one day, and 2) Because I'm the only other person (for now) besides Skepkitty (the girl in-charge of the blog) to get one, so it made me feel good that some "Troper" thought I was as funny as Skep at least once. It was a pretty nice compliment.
2. Who (other than your parents) have been a source of inspiration to you? Multiple people are inspirations to me. I'm inspired by Stan Lee and the late Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, because both created characters (Lee creating a good majority of Marvel Comics's characters, Conan Doyle creating Sherlock Holmes) that have stood the test of time and are still beloved (something I wish to achieve). Neil Gaiman inspires me because he writes so many things, and different ones, too (comics/graphic novels, books, short stories, and screenplays), another thing I wish to do. And Andy Warhol inspires me a bit, too, because he also did more than just paint. And he really didn't care what others thought of him.
3. Are you an extrovert who loves partying and hanging out or more of an introverted person? I am most certainly an introverted person.
4.  Who is your favorite movie director and what is the latest movie of his/hers you have seen? Another tough one. I'd say Joss Whedon because he directed one of my favorite movies this year, The Avengers... but then again I haven't really watched anything else of his yet. On the other hand, Guy Ritchie directed the recent Sherlock Holmes movies (two of my favorites)... but, again, I haven't seen anything else of his, either. So, long story short, it's either Whedon (The Avengers) or Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows).
5. What news channel/newspaper do you watch/read to get the latest news? Sadly, I don't really watch the news that much or read the paper. But I do check the news feeds on my computer and occasionally listen to whatever channel's on if there's news. But I guess I've been listening to NBC quite a bit recently...
6. Name some of your favorite hobbies I love listening to music, writing, drawing, and surfing the Internet.
7.  Has becoming a blogger had any impact on your life so far? If yes, in what way(s)? Not in any MAJOR way, but it has introduced me to some people (albeit indirectly) I enjoy, and it lets me get some of my thoughts out on things I know people I've friended on Facebook could care less about.
8. Who is your favorite author(s)? J.K. Rowling, Heather Brewer, Rick Riodan, Neil Gaiman, James Patterson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Jack Heath.
9.  If there was one thing you want to change about yourself, what would that be? My ability to stay focused on my goals. I'll MAKE plans, but I procrastinate/forget them (it's part of the reason I haven't posted this sooner). I don't want to get so easily distract... oh, lookie, a picture of the Sherlock characters as My Little Pony ponies! I'm gonna find more! :P
10. Which actor would you cast to play Sherlock Holmes and why? Hmm... Christopher Eccleston. I think he's a very good actor, and he played my favorite incarnation of The Doctor. Plus, he's going to be the villain in Thor: The Dark World, so playing Sherlock would be one of many things that would just max out how cool he is to me. 
11. Do you believe in the existence of aliens and UFOs? Yes. I think it's possible. It's a big universe; we can't just be the only planet that has life.

Do You Have The Time To Listen To Me Whine?: Netflix Has Made Me Irritated

  Okay, I really don't ask for much in life. All I really want to do is be able to re-watch series two of  Sherlock for some reviews I swear I'm going to do, and watch some movies I have little interest in besides the fact they star people I like in them. But nooooo, Netflix Instant View won't let me! GAH!

  I mean, they haven't updated Sherlock with the new series, and they don't have any of the three movies I'm trying to watch (War Horse, Star Trek, and GI Joe: Rise of Cobra). Seriously, look up any of those movies I listed on Netflix, they don't have them. It's especially egregious because I know they had at least Star Trek and GI Joe on there before. Granted, I wasn't interested in either at the time, but still, what gives?

  The Sherlock thing's not so bad for me. I mean, I'm willing to spend money to own copies of series one and two. But the others? I don't know anywhere where I can rent them (Redbox?) But I don't want to pay to watch those three movies only once at the most. It's a tad irritating.

  I mean, I want to do is watch Sherlock and Loki fighting in World War I, The Ninth Doctor be a hammy villain in Cobra, and watch a movie to understand what's going on in another movie I want to watch for superficial reasons! Is that so wrong?

  So, does anyone have any explanation for why they don't have these movies? Please?

Bear With Me, Guys...

Hey everyone. Sorry I've been quiet so long. You deserve an explanation. You see, I'm in the process of moving, so I am temporarily without computer. In fact, this very post is coming from an iPod Touch. Which, while good for MANY things, is very ineffective at keeping up blog posts compared to a computer. I do think iPod is alright for commenting, however. That, and the iffy Internet connection where I am. I promise, I'll only be gone a few more days. When everything's settled, I'll get right back to posting. In fact, here's some of the posts I have planned: -A little piece on why I might not be enjoying The Eleventh Doctor so far, unlike The Ninth and Tenth. -Maybe some more MSTs. -Some Reviews of The Guy Richie Sherlock Holmes movies and episodes of BBC's Sherlock. -More of my thoughts on Elementary whenever I see the new trailer. (YouTube doesn't work well from my location >:( ) -And you know how I said I was working on a Sherlock and Harry Potter Crossover fanfic? Well, when I get my computer back, I'll finish typing it up (I already wrote all of it, I'm just copying it to a word document so I can have a better corrections), copy it to Blogger, and post each chapter. I've even contemplated a joke trailer for it. I didn't djust change my mind about that/forget it, you know... ... So that's why I've been (and will be) gone a while. Not because I died and was revived. Not because I quit but realized I couldn't. Not because I was kidnapped and tortured by Critics United for openly disapproving of them on The Half World (I think I'll post my thoughts on THEM later, too...). I swear, in a few days, I'll be back, and you'll have my ramblings again. So, just bear with me, guys (*gasp* just like in the title!) So for now, I'll guess I'll talk to you later. And thanks for your patience... :)

Avengers In Target

  So, I went to the Target twice in the last few days. And I had all sorts of fun. First of all,  ALL THE AVENGERS STUFF IS THERE, NOW! WOOT! So I went to the Toys aisle to look at all the awesome, and to get opinions.

  But wait, aren't I a little old and female to be looking in the Toys aisle for myself? No, no I'm not. XP
  So, first thought I had was when I saw this figure of Iron Man on a motorcycle. Iron Man, in full armor, on a motorcycle. Said thought was "IRON MAN DOES NOT RIDE A MOTORCYCLE! HE CAN FLY!" Why is it toy developers are stupid about these things and give vehicles to characters that they don't need? Yes, Tony's awesome and could make a motorcycle, but he doesn't need one. Plus, he doesn't strike me as a motorcyclist.
  Then, I say the Mini Muggs. OH SWEET LORD ALMIGHTY THE MINI MUGGS! THEY. ARE. ADORABLE! I want them. I wants them all. Especially the little Hawkeye. He's too adorable. With his little sunglasses and bow...
  Then, I saw the Hawkeye bobble head. that I need as well. He would be my little Yes-Man. And it has been my week-long dream to have a bobble head with Jeremy Renner's likeness. I also wonder if they have Iron Man ones (especially ones with him sans helmet, so I can achieve my other dream of having a bobble head that looks like RDJ).

  After looking at them, I wondered why Hawkeye didn't have any regular figures (besides his Mini Mugg and bobble head). Hawkeye is awesome! I love that guy! I love him so much... And Black Widow's got nothing. SHE IS FREAKING AMAZING! Did the people not see her legendary scene in Iron Man 2?

  It's kind of chauvinistic. Guys are Black Widow fans. And girls love Avengers, too! (Just ask the people I follow/that follow me on Pintrest!) Maybe we want a Black Widow figure, too. THINK OF THE PERIPHERY DEMOGRAPHIC! >:( And Scarlett Johansson is awesome, too! She's earned the right to have her likeness cast in a plastic figurine that comes with accessories!

  (Also, I looked at the Young Justice figures, too. I'm kind of mad Robin and Artemis don't have normal figures. Shame. They're my favorites. :( )
  And finally, I looked at Dr. Pepper. I was overjoyed at them having Avengers cans. (Yeah, I have a reflex that requires me to stop and squee over all things Avengers.) Then I was sad. The Hawkeye and Black Widow cans were in Diet Dr. Pepper. I dislike Diet Dr. Pepper. Seriously, does anyone who would appreciate the cans drink Diet Dr. Pepper?

  And if anyone does, could you wash them out and ship extras of them to me? :P

  So, that was my experience at the Target. Anyone else have fun and/or interesting fangirl/fanboy/fanperson stories from shopping?

UPDATE: Went to Wal-Mart. THEY have Hawkeye action figures. (10 Points Wal-Mart) Still no Black Widows, though. >:(
